"I’m reviewing my experience here from when I was pregnant with my son. I was a high risk pregnancy because of some of the medications I was on and because of hormone issues I had. I should have written this review sooner. I never write reviews unless I feel I have important information to share. Your First Look recommended me to Dr. Anne Ruch and I was new to the area so I made an appointment. First appointment the front desk was friendly and I got back to see Dr. Ruch quickly. My experience with the doctor herself was not good nor with her nurse. Both were always very short with me and made me feel like my care wasn’t important to them. Dr. Ruch also came across extremely judgmental towards me and because of this I didn’t feel comfortable voicing certain concerns I otherwise would have asked about. I asked if my progesterone levels could be monitored during pregnancy because I had had two loses due do a sudden dip in progesterone during pregnancy and she refused because she simply said "That’s not true". Not true that that had happened or not true that that’s what caused it? I’m not sure because I was so put off by her demeanor that I didn’t know what to say next. This was my first pregnancy since I had lost my baby at 12 weeks and I didn’t know that you could just switch OBs whenever you want if you’re not happy, so I stayed here way longer than I should have. Anytime I called with a concern, the nurse would completely brush me off and make it seem like I was overreacting or making up what was going on. My water ended up breaking in my second trimester and I knew it had for two weeks and kept calling the nurse to ask if I could be seen sooner and she kept telling me that I must be having bladder leaks and I just can’t tell the difference. I kept insisting it was my water leaking because it was clear and a slow constant trickle. She said she would ask the doctor and call me back. They never called back so I called and the nurse told me Dr. Ruch said it was a bladder leak and she wouldn’t see me before my scheduled appointment. I asked if I should go to the ER to check it and the nurse said they’ll turn me away for a bladder leak. I didn’t know you could diagnose if your water had broken over the phone smh. I ended up having my baby 8 weeks early and getting an infection from my water being broken for so long. By the time I went to the ER, my amniotic fluid level was extremely low and I needed IV antibiotics ASAP. My experience here was so bad and I was made to feel uncomfortable, ignored, and judged, by the people I expected to be able to trust the most. If you have a high risk pregnancy do not go here."

"I would give Dr Ruch zero stars if I could. I lost my insurance for a few months which led me to Dr. Ruch. She freaked out completely because I was measuring small. I don't think it is professional for a doctor of any kind to scare a patient AT ALL, yet alone someone who is carrying a baby. I measured small my whole pregnancy and my daughter came out 7.3lbs, perfect weight if you ask me. She always treated me like I was a drug addict(I am far from a drug addict) because I suffered from an anxiety disorder (I wonder why) and asked if I could take my medicine when I was going through an anxiety attack (very rare, but very needed when it occured) which she denied me. I switched doctors as SOON as I got my insurance back and felt like I never made a better choice. I had an anxiety attack during my last trimester and my new doctor let me take my medication to help with that, so it turns out I was being turned down medication that could have helped me. The whole experience was traumatizing and I HIGHLY do not recommend."

"Went for prenatal care nine months just to find out that they don’t deliver babies or come to the hospital when you deliver. Tried to get a six week follow up no one ever returned my call like they said they would. Very sad I used this dr for my prenatal care. I think this facility is only for poor homeless people that can’t go anywhere else for care. Do not recommend."
