"Took my two sons here in hopes of obtaining help with new diagnosis for the county to evaluate them for services since our out of state diagnosis wasn’t good enough for some reason. What I did receive was poor treatment and a large bill for both children when my more severe child never even made it into the exam room. We were given questionnaires to give to teachers and that’s about it oh and see you again in 2 months so we can talk about medication for your more severe child. Absolutely NOT HAPPENING. I’m not here to drug my children. They need access to therapies and state services foremost not drugs. Terrible service my wife says she wasn’t ever checked on or even asked if they could help, doctor couldn’t be bothered to meet my child in the waiting room. If your new to Willoughby or Ohio just don’t bring your special needs children here."

"How is it that we schedule a follow up appt a month later and your response is we don’t have it and I didn’t do the scheduling? That’s what happen with the lady at the front desk. After reading more of these reviews, it’s clear to me that this is an ongoing issue. Dr Smith has been great so far but the simple attitude and lack of actually trying, then making us feel like it’s our fault is completely unacceptable. I hope to see changes as we have several appts to come back with and my family goes here. Truly sad to see the lack of professionalism."
"Dr. Smith has been wonderful to me. However, the women who runs the office could not be more rude and not understanding. I called in to schedule an appointment to refill my antidepressant medication. She informed me I had an outstanding bill and refused me care. I asked her what the balance was as I had not received any bills. After telling me the balance, I asked for a payment plan as I could not pay it all up front. The women once again denied any care without a payment in ‘full’. I informed her I had not received any bill in the mail and asked for her to confirm the home address. They had the address spelled wrong and their last form of contact was supposedly a message on my phone over a year ago! I also asked about the insurance as they hadn’t made me aware of a bill at my last visit either or confirmed home address or insurance. We then discovered they had the address spelled wrong and also had the wrong insurance carrier on file so the visit wasn’t even filed correctly..and even with all the returned letters they didn’t attempt to contact me since over a year ago. She also did not even attempt to correct the insurance carrier to refile the claim correctly. I let her know I just had a child a month ago and really cannot be going without my antidepressants and offered a substantial payment as well. I informed her I could not come up with the pay in full amount right away.. Even after her knowing the claim was misfiled, all the mail had never gotten to me, and I was a new mother who could be potentially going through postpartum depression..she STILL refused the payment and refused care unless I immediately made the payment in full. I told her I had never been so mistreated by a health care professional my entire life. As I said, I would highly recommend the doctor, but the office manager is absolutely horrible."
