"I give 2 stars because I feel like some of the staff genuinely care the rest are insurance money collectors. Guess what? You sent me to pain management because you didn't believe my pain was real. And it is real. I tore my plantar fascia in my left foot. And you ignored me. You said you couldn't do anything more for me. You gave up on me when I told you I felt like I tore something. You failed at being a good doctor. Enjoy your retirement, Dr. H."
"My experience with the lack of proper follow up and care after an unnecessary surgery resulted in my having my big toe on my left foot partially amputated! Thank goodness I got a second opinion from an orthopedic surgeon! I had a small ulcer under my callous that kept recurring! After an X-ray she said I had two unnecessary bones that are irritating the ulcer so I should have them removed! On July 24, 2023, Dr. Greer did surgery and told my friend w ho was waiting for me that she also removed a cyst! She never came to see me in recovery! This is opposite from the orthopedic surge on who came to see me four times in recovery! I had an appointment on July 28, 2023 at 10:30 am. She showed me a picture of the large cyst which was 5 inches long! I had a very large and deep wound which an associate of hers packed and they showed me how to pack it at home! My next appointment was not until August 9, 2023. The incision did not stay closed and the wound was open and not healing well! The again packed it and used iodine! I had another appointment on August 16 and 23. It is not healing because the wound is so deep! The same treatment of packing and iodine was given to me! On September 1, 2023, she sent me to the wound center at southwest! My appointment was September 7, 2023! On Monday September 11,2023, the wound center recommended a wound vac and coming in three times a week! I never missed an appointment and faithfully went three times a week! The wound vac was keeping the wound too wet so they took it off and they tried using placenta in the wound! Again that did not work! Dr Greer told me at the beginning of my wound center visits that she worked at the wound center on Thursdays! The wound center tried everything to help me. I continued through October and November! My wound got worse! I never saw dr. Greer there! By then I was sent to hospital to emergency and I was admitted with Mersa! I was given intravenous antibiotics! They consulted with the infectious disease dr who prescribed 37 days of intravenous antibiotics in a rehab facility! Dr. Greer suggested amputated my big toe as out patient and said there would be no need for wound use hclinic because once the toe is gone so would be the infection! the wound center nurses came to see me on their own! Dr. Greer never sent anyone to take care of my wound ! At my request they were added as consultants! I was sent toAlteheim November 10th! Dr Greer told to think about it and she would schedule the amputation! I had a second Opinion with Dr. Randal Marcus. He does not do surgery with a wound and recommend me to dr Rascoe! I saw him that following Monday and he did a partial amputation that Wednesday! I had antibiotics extended 20 more days and he kept me in the hospital for five days! I celebrated thanksgiving, Christmas and new years at the Alteheim! I had to pay $250 a day for five days to reserve my room! Insurance does not cover this! I am a retired teacher and cannot afford this expense! I was put on a wound vac for two days after surgery then I had a splint for two weeks! While in Ahuja hospital Dr Rascoe saw me at least twice a day! My sutures are out and I have no wound! I shudder to think what would have happened to me if Dr. Greer did the surgery! At the same time I have a friend who went to Greer on my recommendation! She recommended surgery and told her she would be in a non weight bearing cast for six weeks! After my experience she cancelled and went to Dr Marcus for a second opinion! He is doing the “simple” procedure and he said she could walk on it full weight the next day! Now I have a partial toe and lost five months of my life I will never get back! I would like to add that I have spoken to nurses from southwest and they have told me that many of their patients who also are patients of Dr. Greers have suffered because of wounds that come from incisions that were not properly closed! Please get a second opinion before letting Dr. Greer ever do surgery on you! I NEVER heard from Greer! Mary Robertson"
"Saw Dr. Holfinger for sharp pain in my foot. An x-ray showed no broken bones that he could see and came to conclusion it was an injured ligament. He wanted to put me in a boot, but I wanted to try something less bulky. I left and did my own treatment with the tapes and they worked but only temporarily. My foot is now no better off then it was three weeks ago. I am going back to do what he wanted to do in the first place and put it in the boot and see if it helps me. My husband says if I would have done it in the first place it would have been felling better by now. Should have listened!"
"I hate going to doctors to start and that's why is took me so long to even schedule a appointment for my nagging Achilles pain but against my better judgment I made one for the place. I go and when I get there my co-pay was 40 dollars (not their fault I know, just info for conclusion of comment). They come in and look at my foot and I go and get an xray. They come back in and start talking about they want to try physical therapy (not spending 80 bucks a week for nothing) even though I said it hurts to touch (what is stretching going to do if it hurts to touch it) and I stated that when stretch it out it actually hurts more and they stated that's what they want to try first and then said we are going to give you a heal support to try out and I told the doctor I was skeptical and he said well that's what we do... He wanted to see me in four weeks, I go up to the office and the lady says the heal support will be 12 bucks(which I will never use) and I also didn't want to cause a seen so I said OK... The lady then said did the doctor say he wanted to see you again? I said "no"... Needless to say I won't be going back and out 52 bucks for literally nothing... Good ol' merica"
"The helpfulness of the staff is superb! As a health care worker, I know how hard it is to get an appointment and good care from a group of physicians and their staff. This office goes beyond excellence!! Thank you for providing genuine CARE for your patients!!"
