"I wouldn't recommend this place. And a huge warning to anyone seeking help or therapy, they WILL keep you. I am shocked that they are still operating, they violate your human rights, won't listen to you and the Pysciatrist there has NO empathy or bedside manner. Some (not all) of the nurses there were rude, and unhelpful. It takes forever to ask for the simplest thing, and not to mention the terrible food. If there is anything good to say, the therepists there are great and I do think some of the group activities are beneficial in certain cases, BUT overall avoid this place if you have better options available."
"This place gets a zero from me. They make it nearly impossible to visit family while they are here for treatment. They literally have ONE visitation day per week, on a weekday from 2-3 pm when most people are at work! No weekends, no evenings. So unless you can take a day off on vacation, sorry about your luck! Great way to ensure that family is able to offer support for loved ones and great way to involve family in the patients care. I won’t be recommending this place to anyone else!"
"This place is awful. My teen got sent there due to Children's being full and 10/10 do NOT recommend. The communication is extremely broken and they are extremely disorganized. You'll feel like you have no idea what's going on, and they skipped doses on my daughter's daily medication. Also, several people told me they'd give her a medication she gets every 3 months....I even called several times to check back in and talked to several people because it's important (they said over and over they'd give it to her).....found out at discharge she STILL didn't have it and they had the nerve to tell me I should've told someone and they would've given it to her. WHAT?!?! This place shouldn't even be open."
"I was brought in for treatment to this facility in December. Upon my arrival all of my personal belongings were confiscated by intake. These items were supposed to be documented and stored safely till I was discharged. Upon my discharge, I noticed I wasn’t given all of my belongings. They supposedly preceded to look for this items and could not find them. I was told to contact the patient advocate Desiree to help with this issue. She has supposedly viewed some security footage but needs more time to review more as she cannot locate my missing belongings still after almost 2 weeks since my discharge. Also to note, after getting home I found 2 items in my purse that do not belong to me, I believe these belong to other patients that were admitted. I want my belongings back and I will NOT let this go !! This is completely unacceptable. Not only did I have the displeasure of being seen by a doctor who lacked any bit of empathy whatsoever towards any of the other patients and myself in what I would consider a very fragile period of our lives. This facility has caused me so much more anxiety and distress than it helped me. Thank you Sun Behavioral for that !!"
"If you want to be treated like an inmate? I would give maybe one star for an inmate/prison experience. I’ve never had one, but now thanks to Sun Behavioral….I have. Left after an hour and a half locked in a room, no contact with anyone until I needed to use the LOCKED restroom and finally, after pounding multiple times on the small windows of two separate locked doors I was “greeted” by what I guess were nurses? I was given zero communication. And after sitting in a stained ripped chair, I walked across the sticky floor in my hospital socks to use the restroom….yuck. Needless to say, DO NOT sign your rights away, that was the next step they “offered” (after I was granted permission to use the restroom). Said I would then be taken to the “unit???”…… No thank you… I signed NONE of the electronic signatures (except I asked to be signed OUT), refused treatment so I could call my husband to save me. By the way, I was admitted for alcohol detox, nothing psychological, and going through withdrawal (not drunk). Fun times all around. Overall, read the reviews, unfortunately I could not, as I did not have access to my phone prior to and during admission. But personal reviews are quite accurate and reflect the nature of this “facility”. Noticed they respond to absolutely NONE of the poor reviews, however……when they do receive a RARE positive rating, here is their response….lol! “Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It is always great to hear from a patient who has had a positive experience!” Because it’s almost NEVER."
