"Dr. Burns is amazing. He is actually friendly (which is rare among docs these days) and explained everything in very fine detail before & during my ultrasound injection. During the procedure he asked me many times if I was doing ok etc. Very caring. His assistant (Stephanie?) was also very caring and made sure to talk to me during about Christmas etc. to keep my mind off the pain of the injection etc. Taking a star off due to the wait time (we arrived early and wasn’t brought back until 35-40 min past our scheduled time) which is a common issue I face with OrthoCincy unfortunately, as well as the front desk lady who was like a robot… not necessarily rude but not friendly either (didn’t reply to my good morning and just acted like she despised her job). Anyway, thank you Dr. Burns for reinstalling my trust in Docs."

"I made an appointment at the Griffin Elite Ortho Cincy because a previous doctor had confirmed issues with my knees that would benefit from gel injections. When I made my appointment, I presented both my primary and secondary insurance. At the conclusion of my 5 minute exam with the doctor, he concurred that the previous doctor was correct. After insurance covered most of the x-rays I am left with a &224 bill from the doctor confirming what I already knew. During my visit, I was assured that the office would follow up with a schedule for injections and a therapeutic plan - the doctor joked that would be the “secret sauce” to solving my knee problem. More than two weeks later. No follow up. No “secret sauce” prescribed. No indication my visit was more than a profit model protocol….. but a bill came for $224. I was forewarned about the cattle call treatment of patients at this health-care giant, and that I’d be better off seeking an independent who really considers a patient as a human and not just an account. I will heed that advice moving forward. So that was my experience for what it’s worth (beyond the $224.00.) On a positive note: The office decor is dazzling!"

"I went to Dr. Burns because of a shoulder injury. I was told I had carpel tunnell. I didn't have carpel tunnell. It took another month to convince him to look at my shoulder, that he swore there was nothing wrong with, even though I couldn't lift my arm. Once he finally did look at it there WAS a LOT wrong with my shoulder. He said it "looked old" which it was, it had happened 8 months earlier, that's how long it took to get into a specialist and get them to listen to me, but then attributed it to an injury that had happened only a month before in my medical records, which cost me thousands when the insurance refused to pay. I'm in daily pain even though he "treated" me and probably will be for the rest of my life. I've paid entirely too much for a treatment that only suppressed the condition for a few months, he said one thing while putting down in my medical records something completely different, and I should have NOT had to convince the Dr to look at the thing I specifically came to him to look at. Dr's get paid whether they're right or wrong, they just get paid more when they're wrong because you have to keep going back, I feel like he took as much advantage of that as possible without any consequence or regard for me as the patient. I would not recommend him to anyone, as I sit here icing my shoulder that there was "nothing" wrong with."

The physician took time to explain to me what was going on with my injury and explained potential treatments. Tim was excellent and his manner and clarity of explanation."
