CareFirst Urgent Care - Kettering

"Front office ladies are more than pleasant; however the nurses and providers at this location are rude, uncaring and uneducated. None could answer my questions and instead handed me a paper form and dismissed me. All of them seemed inconvenienced by my presence. I will not be returning."

"Every time my family and I have needed to come here, the staff has been extremely pleasant and kind. My 4-year-old was really scared to go in for an ear and eye infection, but was instantly calmed by the extremely sweet and approachable nurse and APRN. They both took their time with us, engaged with my daughter to make her feel comfortable, listened carefully to what we had to say (even when my toddler was rambling), and were very empathetic. I had never had positive experiences with urgent care until I started coming to CareFirst in Kettering. Wait time can vary, as it does either any walk-in clinic depending on time of day and number of clients at that moment. However wait time has always been reasonable considering these factors."

"Staff is friendly and professional. Service was very slow - they could be just be short staffed today, but I waited over 4 hours before I was called to the back to get my vitals checked. If you have plenty of time to wait this place will do, but If you have a serious injury or condition that requires swift and immediate medical attention I would consider going somewhere else."

"I came in on a Thursday afternoon to seek care for an ongoing sinus infection that I had been having. It was obvious that they were understaffed because the girl at the front desk seemed to be looking for another staff who hadn’t came back from break. Regardless, she was very pleasant. I arrived at 4:30 and did not leave until 6:30. I had a long wait in the waiting room, a longer wait for the medical assistant to come take my vitals, and then another long wait to see the practitioner. The practitioner that I did see had no bedside manner. Did not introduce herself, talked over and interrupted me while I was trying to explain my symptoms, and came off curt and rude. After paying my $60 copay, she recommended a ton of over the counter products and told me to come back if I developed a fever or more sinus pressure. I came out and no one was available at the front desk to give a paper or anything with all the over the counter medicines, so I just left. Bonus: two days later, I developed a fever and sinus pressure and had crackling sounds in my lungs with wheezing. I did not come back. It would’ve been nice to possibly get some medications to help with my symptoms before I had to get an inhaler."

"I was very pleased to find out, when I arrived, the website was correct in saying not busy. My wait was short & very appreciated considering how awful I'm feeling!! Staff was very nice & considerate!! I would recommend anyone feeling under the weather to go get seen at this Urgent Care!! Thank you so much for the quick & accurate care I received!!"
