"My husband and I have been working out at the YMCA.And we will continue it's been a few months now and I'm looking forward to it . We both enjoy it."
"My experience with this gym facility was excellent! I went to this place alone last week for the first time after my parents made my membership available! The front desk staff were kind and helpful, making things fast and easy. Answer questions. I don’t know yet about how the trainer thing works, but there are a lot of them in uniform walking around as you’re working out. Will keep in coming!"
"We really wanted this to work for our family but we only did a month and cancelled. Our daughter got hurt the third time we brought her to the child watch. She has been in other childcare settings and we have never had this happen before. The child watch employees informed me when I came to pick her up an hour aftet it happened. No one called me. Apparently they gave her a phone to watch Cocomelon to calm her down? I do not understand the judgment call please alert parents right away if something happens. It was very chaotic in the child watch that day at least 30-40 young children in the small child watch area. I took my daughter to get an x ray at urgent care and she is OK thankfully. Using the child watch is not worth the risk. We cannot leave our daughter in a place where she is not safe and joined the YMCA to have a gym with childcare. We hope you can improve the quality and safety of your programs."
"The front desk is kind. The gym, however, is really mismanaged. Teenagers hang out in the gym in what appears to be a nice unsupervised break from their parents. Large groups of loud men congregate at machines to root for one another. They get really loud and do not pay attention to the people around them. (I’m all for support, but not when is sacrifices the comfort and feel of safety for women who are working out alone). The gym staff doesn’t walk around or monitor people just sitting around on equipment and not working out. Nor do they care when women express discomfort with the loud group of men grunting and hollering. I was told “it’s a part of working out” I replied with “well you should monitor the large groups because it sacrifices the comfort of others” and I was met with a blank stare. Once again, women’s safety and comfort is way down the list of priorities for this location. I just rejoined after being a member before covid. I plan to cancel my membership after the first month. This gym doesn’t foster the kind of environment that I feel comfortable working out in."
