"Had both my children here and by far my first labor and delivery experience was my best. When I delivered my first here everyone was super friendly, caring, polite, understanding and worked with you and not against you. I loved all my L&D nurses in 2022 when i had my first. I recently on 02/16/2024, delivered my 2nd and last baby here and when I say my labor and delivery experience was a total opposite, it definitely was. My nurses put in my chart in the notes things I said outloud word for word with quotation marks, and they didn't seem very helpful with calming me down to help my labor and delivery go well. I even mentioned how outloud I did my labor and delivery all natural as my Mag Drip interfered with my Epidural and tanked my BP and one of my nurses had the audacity to stand with another nurse and say verbatim what I said mocking me in a sense. My L&D nurses had me transfer rooms shortly after birth to another L&D room and had me on a nothing by mouth diet for the first 24 hours in which I wasn't even offered a jello, water, or broth until I spoke up about it and asked. When I got to my postpartum recovery room though - my experience improved as my nurses over there compared to L&D were a lot more compassionate, caring, relaxed, and everything else. They had to get my diet changed to a regular diet, they brought me in snacks as I was clearly able to tolerate a regular diet, and they provided me water since they didn't allow me to have any throughout my entire L&D experience. I loved my nurse Carla in Women & Newborn as she was very informative, very through, very knowledgeable and caring. I also loved my assistant Lolita who hooked me up with the snacks, and helped me feel comfortable during my stay. I swear the woman and newborn unit is by far the best here - however the L&D unit ... not so much."
"Brought sister in law to emergency as directed by her doctor. 4 hours after arriving at1230pm she was called back. Had a CT scan about 5pm its now 730pm still hasn't seen a doctor about the scan. Don't come here. Can't sleep even with ear plugs because 2 security guards talking. Again don't come here."
"I took my daughter to hospital she is adult but was having a break down we had just picked her medication from pharmacy that was prescribed but we also see that she wasn’t sleeping, so we were going in hospital pacifically asking for certain care only and to be discharged from there. so I can go home proceeded with the medication that was already prescribed for that evening. So hospital knowing fully aware that she hasn’t taken her prescribe medication yet because we showed them her medication in our hand. The hospital gives sleep medication then decided to evaluate her knowing fully aware that we just picked up her script up so evaluating her without real medication wasn’t fair to her. We was aware of other symptoms and only needed help for sleep because I could have given her the prescribe medicine at home in her environment where she more comfortable and on top this my daughter is very religious and our family does not believe in psych wards so we went in asking questions before asking for help with her sleep but hospital told us they can’t answer that question at the moment until she goes back so not only did we not receive complete discharge instructions and unnecessary treatment. The hospital violated her right to leave every time she wanted to go. I even asked what the problem, she ready to go they could have given me the papers to sign that I was responsible because actually I was the one who was speaking for when we came in but now they not listening to me now that she ready go and telling me I’m not allowed to stay with her. I express if she wakes and not see me she going be upset but I was asked to go. But I was the speaking from the beginning and when we already informed them of her break down so she not speaking because of the break down Now hospitals is forcing her to psych ward and she not suicidal and not trying hurt herself or no one else. Now she calling me from the psych ward saying she hungry. When best place for her to be is with me because she only communicates and trust me."
"My husband and I would like to thank the wonderful staff at Dublin Methodist hospital. The whole staff was caring, compassionate and went above and beyond to ensure that we were well taken care of. Overall, I had great experience here. I felt totally safe and supported by all of the labor/ delivery nurses as well as the postpartum nurses."
"I had a safe and beautiful experience delivering our baby via c-section at Dublin Methodist hospital December 2022. This was our first child and the entire labor and delivery experience truly exceeded our expectations. Courtney was the nurse in the OR who held my hands while I was scared and getting an epidural waiting for when my husband was allowed in the OR. I was able to play my favorite songs to relax and prepare to welcome our baby into the world. I will never forget the kindness Mitzi and Sue showed me during my time in the recovery suite. Every nurse, doctor, and hospital staff member treated me with kindness and respect. As a Black Woman I felt supported, safe, and truly had a wonderful experience delivering my baby. The recovery suite was spacious and it felt very warm and calming. My husband who is 6’2 had comfortable enough sleeping arrangements as well. The hospital food was good and there’s a lot of dining options in the area for lobby delivery. I highly recommend Dublin Methodist hospital for maternity care."
