"A couple months ago I had a huge decision to make in terms of my mother’s care. I read the reviews & was 100% sure this was NOT the place for her. However, it was the closest place to me. When I say these reviews don’t do this place justice. I was prepared for my mother to be here for months & in less than a month she is on her way to rehab. The care she received was beyond phenomenal. I don’t have not one bad thing to say about the aids, nurses or doctors. When she came in she wasn’t in the best condition & they turned it around. I immediately seen a change in her appearance, wounds, mental & physical health. The nurses here CARE & it shows. She’s getting ready to be discharged tomorrow & while I am happy she’s one step closer to getting home I am sad to leave such wonderful, caring people behind. These women have become family. From the bottom of my heart I want to thank every single person who took care of my mother Janice & to anybody who is considering sending their loved one to Grace LTAC in Parma DO IT! I promise you won’t regret it."
"Grace hospital This “hospital” allowed my father to die on their watch. Supposed to be a “wound clinic” But the LPN that were changing his wound were highly inexperienced. Did not give him pain medicine before changing. Not having the supplies needed. Dropping supplies on the floor and having to leave the room multiple times to grab things. Which prolonged his pain. Had a girl who was only working for 3 days changing my father and not doing anything. My mother had to help change and tell them what to do. (They were laughing and joking during) The nurses was supposed to check on him hourly. They lied about that but checked it off in their rounds list. Which means they did not give him pain medicine or check his sugar for hours, which made his sugar jump to 360… My mother saw he wasn’t doing good and had to beg multiple times that a doctor come in and check on him. The doctor says him sleeping is fine. And gave him an X-ray. My mother saw he wasn’t breathing well. Had to beg the nurse to put him on oxygen. They decline. But eventually put him on oxygen. When escorting him to the icu the nurses did not know how to move the bed properly which means they were banging the bed on the wall. My mother and I had to get him out of the room ourselves. And while transporting him they continued to bump him around Please do not send your family to this facility. They will lie about checking patients and barely want to help."
"My husband contracted Covid in December of 2021 and was hospitalized at University Hospital Medical Center in Parma Ohio on December 26, 2021. Once he recovered enough to leave the ICU step down, he was still using a C-PAP and high flow oxygen machine at full capacity or 100% so he could not be released to go home. He was transferred to Grace Hospital Long Term Acute Care Unit on the 3rd Floor of UH Parma. The staff at this facility is amazing and my husband received the best care. His nurses (Grace, both Mary Jo's & Mariah) and doctors (Dr. Debs, and all the Grace physicians) were so attentive and caring, they answered all questions and kept me informed of his progress. The nurse's aids were very professional, well trained and took great pride in patient care. Nicole was one of my husbands favorite aids as they formed a friendship of sorts. The physical and occupational therapist (Scott and Rich), speech therapist and respiratory therapists (Dillon and all the others), all went above and beyond to take care of my husband and get him to the next level. I also want to mention Jackie, the social worker that helped me with a paperwork issue and the eventual release of my husband to a skilled nursing facility for rehab, who also went above and beyond to assist me in navigating this process. I highly recommend this facility to anyone that needs this type of care. Thanks to all the staff Grace Hospital Long Term Acute Care Unit that gave such great care to my husband during his stay there. I will forever be grateful."
"Grace Hospital does not adequately care for their patients. The staff from the caseworker to almost all of the employees are extremely rude. Upon admission of my loved one they said they offered all kinds of therapy occupational, physical none of which was given or even ordered. After 4 weeks I was told it was a clinical place only. Be very cautious about placing a loved one here. They only barely keep them alive and in fact set them back in their recovery progress. My suggestion is to go to any long term acute care but here if you want to help your loved one."
"I am a Clinical Liaison at Grace Hospital. My job is to evaluate patients and determine of they are appropriate for admission to Grace Hospital. I also coordinate all details necessary to transfer a patient. I love my job and my co-workers and peers. I have seen patients with complicated medical conditions markedly improve and transfer to less-acute settings. Success stories definitely make all of the hard work and effort worth it!"
