Reviews
"It's just a higher priced Taco Bell. They were all preoccupied with other things, but that was expected with a newly opened restaurant. You can't order sour cream on your taco, they give it to you as a side. Not nearly enough cheese, had to really look for it. Super Burrito was good, size was good for the price. It's high end fast ish food. Not sure I would go out of my way to eat there."
"I normally don’t leave negative reviews but I went to Taco John’s on Saturday Feb 17th it was the one on Wilmington Pike. And we placed are order a 6:58 PM The lady behind the counter didn’t even say thank you or anything whatsoever. It took 25 minutes to get our order that ended being INCOMPLETE!! I heard the lady behind the counter talking to a family waiting for there order saying to the family that the wait was going to be 30-40 minutes WHAT? REALLY!!. Oh yes when we finally got are order at 7:23 PM I noticed that my street tacos were really tiny and not just mine but everyone else’s was too. The potato ole’s was overly SALTED and we’re not very warm and my street tacos were very bland. The burrito that we ordered looked VERY unappetizing. The only good part about the meal was the fountain drinks. Also they said they had DoorDash I looked and NOTHING! They said they have DoorDash but they DON’T! Also the food was very pricey our total came to $35 I ended up going to the McDonalds next door and getting MORE food for CHEAPER price. Stick to Taco Bell if you want affordable food that comes out quick. I had high expectations for this place considering they just opened but now that I’ve been I will not be back. I’m very disappointed."
"I’m so disappointed. We entered the restaurant on Friday February 16 at around 7:00 pm so that we could scope the menu and take our order to go. We entered the restaurant and were greeted by a dust pan full of trash an employee apparently had abandoned in its place. We aggressively asked what we wanted to order and then told there were no nachos and no ole but someone ran to get some. The kitchen looked unorganized and messy. We ordered a chicken quesadilla, chicken street tacos, and a large drink . We were told that they were out of large carts so we were provided with two medium cups. While waiting for our food we were given the pleasure of listening to some hard rap music provided by the kitchen staff. Our food was made quickly, no sauce was served or offered in our bag. We took our food home and it was just as disappointing as the staff and restaurant. Bland and lukewarm, the only flavor we got from the taco was the taste of bagged lettuce. Taco John’s was utterly unsatisfying. We will not be back."
"Steak is actually really good, and their service was excellent, especially since it was the grand opening. Good place for a fast food type taco. It's worth trying at least once."
"Really hate not being able to give a full five stars because we absolutely love Taco Johns. We were introduced to this chain by our son when we visited him in Coucnil Bluffs Iowa and we so wish we had one here in Dayton. The food is very good. The pricing is along the lines of other fast food chains. Our problem with this visit was a rude cashier. I don't expect to be treated with rudeness at any restaurant. Let alone a restaurant I just spent $56 at feeding my family. For $56 I had a lot of options of where to eat but chose Taco Johns only to pay $56 for rudeness. The Recirpt says the gentleman's name was Adam I also attached a picture of him to this review. After waiting in thr long line due to the new opening which was expected. My wife finally got her drink a from the soda fountain machine got back to the table and it was all carbonated water..She proceeds to let Adam know the Starry is out and with a impatient tone he tells her we are totally out in the whole store. You just have to pick something else. Of course from my seat I watch him treat my wife like second hand trash. That doesn't make me happy. So I go up and let him know that he may want to put a sign on the starry letting people no that is out. His response was we will when we get time. I let it go . My wife was looking forward to eating here since the last time was with our son in Iowa and It was remembering a good time with him. Didn't want to cause a seen. I can assure you though if we were to eat here again I would turn around and leave if this Adam gentleman was working. Please try this place out though. We really enjoy the food and hope you do to. Also you can settle the Taco bell vs Taco john debate for your self..lol"
