Firehouse Subs Englewood Gateway Center

"I ordered my food online at 6:30pm on 1-29-24 and had it scheduled to be ready and picked up at their latest time at 8:35pm because they close at 9pm. When I arrived at 8:30pm to pick up my food, my food was cold and looked like it had been sitting there for hours. When I asked the lady at the counter she told me they made the order when they online order came in despite it saying to wait to make it later and have it ready by 8:35pm. When I asked her to make me a fresh sub, she declined stating I would have to pay for a fresh sandwich since technically there is nothing wrong with the one I have even though they cooked it 2 hours before I even had it scheduled to pick it up. So I was stuck with a old 2 hour sub and needless to say I was very dissatisfied with my meal. Poor customer service with no urgency to help make things right."

"I visited this location on 12-31-23. Now I had not been here for about a year or so because the sandwiches were nit all that great. But today I wanted to give it another shot. I ordered the hooks and ladder I think it was called with ham and turkey. I asked for an extra pickle as well. I waited a out 8-9 minutes as they were making another lady's sandwich that was ahead of me. Employees seemed nice and thanked me and I want to say the manager said Happy New Year and I said the same. My spending of 8 plus dollars for their version of a medium sub, no way not for what you get. I know things have gone up but it seems when the prices went up the quantity and quality went down. I won't pay that much for something like this, I could of went to Subway and got more meat and toppings. It's just another reminder that I can see those businesses that will end up closing. I tried again but I see why it was a year since I had purchased their sandwich."

"While enjoying a sandwich with my coworker on our lunch break, an employee approached us and told us we had to leave because we had ordered the food to go. He said it was going to cost them labor expenses (WIPING OFF ONE TABLE). We felt completely disrespected by his tone and were very caught off guard. I have never been asked to leave an establishment mid-bite. We paid $35 for two sandwiches and were asked to take our food outside. Furthermore, it was slow and the vibe of the restaurant felt like a morgue. I will never go back here again and make sure my coworkers don’t either. As someone who is a part of a business just moving to the area, it was very discouraging to see the lack of hospitality at this location."

"Visited this location today for lunch. Waited 8 minutes in line before my order was taken. Then, after waiting 25 minutes for food, found out my order was given to someone else (we never heard anyone call my name). The employees apologized and then made my food again. I finally received my food 35 minutes after the time on my receipt. At least my food was hot and delicious (only reason for 2 stars). The employees looked a bit lost as they were filling multiple online orders, a large catering order, and a lobby full of guests. Only 2 employees were making food, 1 other was wandering around mostly, and at least another was out of view doing who knows what. The lack of priorities during lunch rush is alarming. I love their food but I cant justify the lack of speed of service."

"Order for pickup was supposed to be ready at 4:00pm. Got my order and out the door about 4:40. They said the meatballs for my pizza pepperoni meatball sub was not ready. However, they probably were, because when I got home the meatballs were dry, tough, and one was crunchy. My wife’s Italian sub had been cooked until dry, had very little ham, and she suspects the Italian dressing was actually mustard. This location was not busy at all (I suspect I know why) and had at least 4 people working. We won’t be back, as I get better subs from Cassano’s. Would not recommend wasting any time or money at this location. But they did give me a free soda for my troubles."
