"absolutely the worst pharmacy i have ever dealt with by a LARGE LARGE LARGE margin. I would be so embarrassed to be associated with this company in any way. STAY AWAY!!!!!!! oh Martha, thanks for nothing"
"Lol where do I BEGINNNNN ! Unprofessional , company has favoritism as heck , they have no time and a half , drama as well all the managers and supervisors violate the HIPPA law , says in the employee handbook that if you have requested 3-4 days less you can put it in at any time but more than those days have to put 2 weeks in advance but let them tell it you have to put it in a MONTH in advance , how crazy is that , I wouldn’t work for them AGAIN !!!!! I ADVISE ! DO NOT WORK FOR POLARIS PHARMACY SERVICES , WHEN THEY LOSE BUSINESS & VENDORS THEY TAKE IT OUT ON EMPLOYEES & TARGET YOU TO FIRE YOU ! If ANYBODY THAT HAS THEIR TECH LICENSE OR ANYTHING ELSE DO NOT PICK POLARIS PHARMACY SERVICES AS YOUR EMPLOYMENT !!!!"
"My Mom lives in a Memory Care facility and Polaris is the Rx company they currently use, ALTHOUGH the nurse working in my Mom's unit tells me that the facility will be using a different Rx company starting mid-November. The reason for the change is because SO MANY PEOPLE have bad experiences with Polaris - both the nursing staff plus people like me who have a legitimate question about the bill. No one at Polaris calls any of us back! Hallelujah that my Mom's facility has chosen a new Rx company because the lack of customer service (returning phone calls) is totally unacceptable, maddening, frustrating, annoying, bad business and a waste of my time. I have called Polaris 12 times, left about 7 comprehensive voicemails and NO ONE calls me back!!!!!! The first phone call I made to Polaris went great - the woman answering could see the items on the bill that I was questioning, she agreed they looked odd and she told me that she would ask the same question as I was asking. She gave me the first name of the Biller at Polaris, her phone number plus her extension. BUT that is where the good news ended! Of the 12 phone calls I have made to Polaris during their supposed business hours, that was the only phone call where I could speak to a real person and she could not even answer my question. All the other 11 times I have had to leave a voicemail and no one calls me back!!!"
"I'm writing this review in the hope of helping someone out there who may be contemplating ordering medication through Polaris. My parents are in an assisted living community where, for the last year, Polaris has been the "chosen" in-house pharmacy. As POA of my parents, I only give permission to the AL staff to order emergency meds and my mother's monthly breathing meds. They do deliver to the the AL facility daily so it is convenient when I can't go to Mom and Dad's preferred CVS pharmacy to fetch meds. The billing department regularly bills my Mom for her breathing medications which are paid for by Medicare Part B and her Supplemental UHC plan. Mom has been on these drugs for COPD for 20 years and has NEVER pad one penny for them! She's lived in NY and FL and has had the same ins. plans for 25 years. This is a learning experience for all pharmacies with whom I've placed Mom's orders over the years (Publix, Walgreens, CVS, and Guardian which was the AL facility's "chosen" pharmacy prior to Polaris). They all eventually make the necessary phone calls to become enlightened on how to process payment so they are paid in an expeditious manner, and my Mom is not bombarded with monthly statements with balances that keep escalating. For one year I have been unable to obtain the proper assistance from the billing dept. to correct the compounded errors incurred by Polaris. It is mind boggling that employees aren't able to do their jobs, ask for assistance from supervisors, and communicate to customers. Unlike the reviewer of 5 years ago, I refuse to pay for Mom's current balance of $2,000 work of drugs that Medicare and UHC will gladly pay if the paperwork is completed correctly. I have been told by a sympathetic Polaris employee that payments made by patients are thrown into their accounts without matching them up with particular line items or statements. Even Polaris doesn't know why $2,000 was billed to Mom unless they spend hours doing manual research as their computer program does not require them to match payments with bills. Beware before using Polaris that you could be in for much frustration and time wasted in trying to keep one's credit line accurate!"
"I wish I could give Polaris zero stars because their customer service is so poor, they don't even deserve one star. My mother resides at an assisted living facility which used Polaris for the first half of 2017. After the first bill being sent in a timely manner and showing an itemization of her medications, every bill sent after simply stated "balance forward." I had no information on what I was paying for. Every call I made to the customer service number went to a voice mail which was never returned. Finally, my mother's facility changed pharmacy services. I continued to receive bills without knowing what the charges related to. Eventually, after many calls, I spoke with a customer service rep who said he couldn't help me because the account was closed. I was put through to his manager's voice mail which simply stated that he was no longer an employee. After many more frustrating attempts, I was contacted by a Polaris employee who apologized for the confusion, sent me a full itemization and informed me the account was paid in full. Three months later, I received another bill from Polaris, including charges for medications from after the facility had canceled the contract with Polaris. I sent a letter, with a copy of the employee's correspondence stating the account was closed. I also questioned why the charge after they were no longer contracted. No one called or reached out to me in any way--they simply sent me another bill, subtracting the amount which occurred after the cancellation of the contract. I paid the remaining amount because my sanity is worth something but I must also mention that despite repeated requests to please send all correspondence to me and not my late-stage demented parent, they continue to send all correspondence to her, which in turn has to be forwarded to me. Without a doubt, this company is one of the most poorly run organizations I've ever come across. I urge any facility to not pursue a contract with Polaris."
