"HELD MY PARTS FOR RANSOM DIDNT RETURN ALL OF MY PARTS EITHER. DONT GO TO THIS SHOP Well after listening to a trusted mechanic I decided to bring my broken rear end to David at the gear shop instead of getting a re manufactured one It was Thursday afternoon before Labor Day when I dropped it off. He told me oh yeah I get parts in two days (I’m fairly certain he said guaranteed) no big deal, it also should be less money. His shop was very clean and well equipped. I reiterated How important a quick turnaround was as my other option would have put me back on the road Thursday Friday of last week for sure. And that I’m loosing quite a bit of money every day the truck is down. He assured me that accounting for the holiday parts on Wednesday. 6 days after drop off. Ok fair enough parts Wednesday pick up the rear end late Thursday early Friday. He was confident until Thursday afternoon and still not all the parts had arrived. When I asked for a hard timeline he simply said I have no control at all so when they get here I’ll let you know when it will be done. That’s not a hard timeline. It wasn’t until I said something about tracking numbers that he even thought of them. Then I asked about his warranty on his work. He said he stands behind it. But usually doesn’t warranty parts in a dump truck as they drive off road. Not to mention his price was the same as my other option that has a 3year unlimited mileage replacement warranty. So I told him never mind I want to go with the better warranty. He then charged me 400$ for breakdown and cleaning. I would understand 200$-250$ but 400$!!!! That’s crazy. But the core charge is 1,300$ so I guess whatever. So now even after I had specifically asked him to keep all broken parts and he agreed to do so he didn’t so now the 450$ I spent on a broken yoke was probably not necessary."
