"In short, we had an issue when we ordered. While I have not received the finished product, Steve has been fantastic in assisting us in correcting the issue. We are looking forward to receiving our products."
"Please read for an honest Review about Herff Jones: I am extremely disappointed and displeased by the service offered by Herff Jones. I cannot fathom the unprofessionally and embarrassment of a company. Let alone, the negligence to students and parents. I do not recommend this company to any current prospective student, current student, alumni, or parent. My announcements were delivered with the wrong graduation date listed as August 1st. The actual date of our graduation is August 2nd, 2020. Due to COVID-19, our graduation was moved to a virtual one as well. This time when I called customer service about the issue, I was told that this is the “correct” date listed and provided by a Herff Jones College Representative. Not only was that a false statement, I also have documentation that our commencement ceremony was to be held on August 2nd. I then asked to speak with a supervisor in regard to the issue. The supervisor I spoke to reached out to my local Herff Jones representative to confirm the date. My local Herff Jones rep. had informed the supervisor I spoke to that the “date they want printed on the announcements is to be August 1st,2020.”-local Herff Jones Rep. The supervisor I spoke to apologized and explained that at the moment there was nothing she could do about the situation. I was then given a number to my local Herff Jones rep. to see if I could be given some type of refund for the unprofessionalism and lack of communication I was dealing with. I decided to reach out to the number the supervisor provided me for my local representative. I explained the issue and asked if there is anyway I can at least have the announcements printed with the correct date and/or receive a refund. The woman who I spoke with told me that she cannot issue me a refund or reprint the announcements for the mistake they made. In addition, she went to explain that our diplomas will be printed on August 1st, 2020-which is why they want this specific date on the announcements. ….so, lets back up a little here. This is the first year many of us have a virtual graduation. In previous years, announcements were used to INVITE friends/family members TO the COMMENCEMENT. So logically, I wanted to invite my friends/family to VIEW the virtual graduation that will be taken place on August 2nd. Not only did I think this, almost every single person graduating thought this as well. (I only know this because I reached out to many of my colleagues asking what we had on August 1st…the answer is nothing). Just because we get our diplomas printed on this date does not mean we want to INVITE friends/family on this day. I explained to the representative at my local Herff Jones that not only does this affect myself. I know for a fact there are so many other students questioning the same thing. This company made one of its largest mistakes this year that affected hundreds of students who ordered announcements in 2020. Great brand reputation for a local community. The woman told me the only thing she could do was send me “templates” that I could use to make my own designs. When she emailed me them, they looked nothing like the actual announcements. I was easily able to tell this was quickly made in Word rather than a professional software system such as InDesign. I would feel embarrassed to send out my announcements with the wrong dates, but I would feel even more embarrassed to send your typical ‘clip art’ ones. Overall, I would not recommend this company to any graduate (or soon to be). Just to reach customer service those few times I had to wait over 30 minutes. This review is meant for those looking for honest feedback. In no way do I hold anything against the company or employees. Herff Jones has not only lost me as a customer, they have gained someone who will not be recommending anyone to them. …as every business should know…word-of-mouth is the strongest impact on your brand and your company."
"The list of reasons for a one star review is way to long to list. I have been trying to get in contact with them for 4 days and they will not return calls, I've been on hold for hours for 3 days straight, and they will not respond to emails."
"I cannot explain to you the customer service level that I had received from this company, particularly at this location! I ran into an emergency situation with a cap & gown for my son's graduation in 2 weeks and they bent over backwards to make this happen for us in a short period of time. Steve, and especially Nick has shown compassion to an already stressed parent :) and truly demonstrated customer service that is rarely found! Thank you to the team! You are all truly exceptional!!"
"I'm throughly amazed by the rude people who choose to work in customer service as their career. They only get the two stars because after making me jump through hoops to get the cap & gown, I finally got it which was the purpose for coming here and spending money right? The reason they are open and these people have a job to begin with right? The office manager seems to be a miserable little bird of a woman on some sort of power trip. Not sure how these people gain their positions in life. I hear from the back saying their shipment came in earlier in the morning and she would go through it at her pace and that she refused to be rushed. GREAT WAY TO TREAT A CUSTOMER RIGHT WHO NEVER ASKED/EXPECTED ANYBODY TO RUSH. Hopefully you'll get lucky and not have to see her at any point. My favorite part is when she came from behind the wall to slam a sign on the counter startling me. Staying pick up was from 12-4. Guess I should have apologized for showing up 15 minutes before designated pick up times. Guess this is the type of establishment that doesn't get their work done until they absolutely have too."
