"We have just returned from our second visit with Eric at Rick's Estate Jewelry. Obviously we were pleased the first time with his service and estimates. Eric is pleasant and knowledgeable. In our case we divested our sterling flatware and various smaller items both in silver and gold. His prices for our gold earings, chains, and a coin ring was good according to weight. It is important to know only sterling silver is acceptable, not silver plate. Having dealt with other dealers in the past, we feel Eric at Ricks is fair and tries to provide the best current prices. Do telephone the store to make sure he is available on your preferred day."

"Based on reviews and dealing with loss I made an appt. to liquidate some of an estate. I should have beat feet when Rick's first statement when I walked in the door was "ok let's see what you got." I had a few pieces jewelry and coins. In 15 minutes of watching him quickly test the jewelry and flip thru the coins throwing some in a pile, those he kept telling me weren't worth much but going in the pile pretty quickly, he threw money on the desk and had a take it or leave it smirk on his face. I can still see it and it still gets my goat. At no point did he disclose weight of jewelry or what he had quickly calculated on his calculator, just a quick transaction of ok bye. Now maybe my stuff wasn't worth as much as I've NOW been told they were worth and shame on me for not doing proper research on what I actually had. Now I'll never know. The purpose of this review is to solely to give ADVICE on do your research on what you have BEFORE you step in here. No offense to Rick or Robin, but this company, like most pawn or resale businesses they are NOT here to do right by you or help you actually deal with estate loss fairly. They are doing what they do to SOLELY make money. Not sure if it was the way Rick acted like it was an inconvenience for me to be there or like HE was doing me a favor but it felt wrong and left me with a bad feeling in my stomach dealing with him. If you do go in look at the large jewelry case to the right and based on what they're asking for pieces in there just think about the way they most likely might have lowballed the person who sold it. Wait that's what a pawn shop does right? Just a theory. No matter what, I won't be back ever. I found another company who charges decently to actually appraise items versus under bid the items themselves of which I've sold on my own and made 6 times more than what Rick literally threw my way. It has taken more time yes but has been far worth it and it hasn't left a sour feeling in my gut doing it. Side note I would have rated this place 1 star but I actually dealt with them so not entirely their fault for driving down worth and me accepting it."
