MIDFLORIDA Credit Union - Land O'Lakes Branch

"As a MIDFLORIDA member for nearly 10 years I'm disappointed that my experience with them has been far from the best. Let me start off by saying my experience with the branch staff is not the problem, but the institution and its processes. Their underwriting process for a loan took more than a day and they take into consideration CLOSED accounts that are 7+ years old. On top of that, there was ZERO mention or options of a counteroffer, just straight up NO. I went down the street to Sun Coast Credit Union where I'm not even a member, they pulled a significantly higher credit score, the underwriting process took a total of 15 minutes from the moment I applied, to counteroffers, and final approval, all with a way lower interest rate than MidFlorida's. Based on my experience, I don't feel valued enough to even bother keeping an account open here."

"So it's easy to open an account there but lie about their promotions. They were offering a "supposably" $200 sign up bonus to NEW customers only. They have signs outside their bank that state this plus their online promotions state this BUT don't be fooled by this like myself because after opening an account, 2 direct deposits now they are telling me i don't get the perk because of my credit score Wasn't told that it sign up or didn't read that online as prerequisite to get the bonus. False advertising for a credit union. Do your homework before opening an account here"
