We bought a new home in Lehigh Acres, FL from this company and couldn't be happier with the entire process. "Absolutely the worst builders on the planet. They build garbage homes, with garbage finishes. Poor to absolutely horrible craftsmanship and they don't honor their warranty claims. There are a lot of builders out there. Avoid anything built by D.R. Horton at all costs. Save yourself the torment that I continue to endure 8 months after purchasing a new construction home."

"We moved into our home Jan 7, 2021. We began filing warranty claims within the first couple of months. We left in late July, for the summer, with very few of the warranty claims completely finished. Of the warranty claims that have been addressed, a painter has been to the house twice and the workmanship is so poor, the house is in worse shape than when he got here. The last time he was here, he left paint spills in of the main bathroom sink and paint on the mirror. 22 warranty claims have been summitted and 3 have been completed. There are still open items from a warranty claim submitted on May 18, 2021. The warranty claim office has been non-responsive. When they do respond we are told they will get back to us and then we don't here from them. I most recently reached out to the warranty office on March 25th. I received an email that day stating the field tech for our area would be calling me soon. I had this field tech at the house about 3 weeks prior. I provided him with pictures and copies of my warranty claims. I have not received and updates or communication at all. The lack of communication and inability to complete warranty claims from this office is systemic throughout our community. Based on the issues documented above, I would not recommend building with DR Horton."
