"Horrible company and the Ocala site manager is extremely devious and egotistical. My husband recently was fired because supposedly a customer called the safety director personally to say he was speeding. No investigation was completed, they just took the word of this person. Ironically my husband was driving truck with another employee and the Ocala site manager specifically told the other truck driver to take a different route, they were both heading to the same yard. Minutes later someone calls to say my husband was speeding. He was driving a heavy traffic road which was not conducive to speeding. He came back to the Ocala yard and was fired on the spot. We feel this was total retaliation . About a month or so prior my husband strained his back on the job. It was around the same time I needed my husband to take me to a doctor appointment as I learned my cancer was active again. My husband had to file workers compensation as he could hardly move or lift heavy items. Of course his firing was literally days after he was released from workers comp. We learned later a younger employee put it in the managers ear that my husband faked being hurt so he could have the day off to take me to my appointment. Interesting to say he wasn't hurt since he could hardly move. Truth is the doctor and physical therapist felt he wasn't ready to be released but my husband begged them because Sims hadn't paid several weeks of salary he was due and never have. Be wary of this company especially the Ocala yard. The management is dirty, devious, liars, and not ethical. The management do not care about their people at all."
