"I never leave reviews, but this experience was so bad that I do not want another family to make my mistake of going out scalloping with Red Ed. If I could rate it lower, I would. My family and I went out with Red Ed for scalloping at the start of the season, and words alone cannot express my disappointment. After spending an entire afternoon scalloping with twelve people in the water, we got a grand total of thirteen scallops. Not to mention, Red Ed was extremely rude at times and made uncomfortable/questionable comments to the younger girls in our group. Furthermore, near the end of the trip, Red Ed got annoyed and threw my grandmother's shoe probably twenty feet from the boat and into the water, all because it was in his way. Several incidents like this throughout the trip had us eager to get off the boat. However, with that all being said, Captain Bo, the one in charge of the second boat, was awesome and extremely nice to my family. Five stars for Captain Bo."

"My family and I just went scalloping with Red Ed’s Adventure and can’t say enough good things about Captain Ed and Bo. Both captains were professional, kind and very helpful since some of us had never scalloped before. They were both great with kids and made us all feel very safe. "Booked Red Ed for a family scalloping trip in late August. Truly did not disappoint. Making the reservation was easy and Captain Ed gave me a call a few days later to confirm. He followed through the entire time by keeping me updated on the weather and possibilities of having to reschedule. It is Florida so anything and everything is possible. As we got closer to the date Captain Ed called and texted the night before and morning of to discuss the weather. I explained to him this was a special trip between cousins who hadn’t seen each other in a while and what better way for us to bond than creating fun memories together. He was even kind enough to move our departure time a few hours earlier so we could have better weather. Thankfully there was only five minutes of a lite rain shower and the sun emerged right after. Captain Ed gave a tutorial for us first time scallopers and we were on our way. Jumping ship into the shallow water. Took a minute to get a hang of searching for theses hidden gems. A total of six cousins competing against each other to see who would catch the most, the girls had the upper hand at first and we’re later completely overtaken by the boys. Took a ten minute break, We brought a cooler with snacks and drinks. Then headed back in the water for round two We probably caught a total of 80 or more scallops. This is definitely one for the books , we truly enjoyed our family bonding activity. We will definitely be doing this again. 10 stars all around. Thanks Captain Ed! —- The Lagos family"

"Had a blast today! Captain Red was extremely knowledgeable of the area and pointed out many historical sights along the way to get to the scalloping area. He has a nice boat too that rides really well. We arrived at our spot, and he explained the best way to grab the scallops and what we should be looking for to find them. We all entered the water and the underwater "Easter Egg Hunt" began. It took some time and concentration to focus on what the scallops look like hiding in the grass, but in a matter of minutes we were able to find some. It was pure excitement for everyone. We highly recommended you take one of Capt. Red Ed's Adventures, you will not regret it.."
