"As the saying goes… I only gave Captain Ren five stars because Google won’t let me give him ten. Initially we were going for tarpon a little early in the season, but Mother Nature decided otherwise with wind and rain. Capt Ren still showed us tarpon but the silver kings were not to be. With uncanny timing on when to say when, Capt Ren switched plans and switched locations. Over the next several hours we ended up with several of our targeted snook (including a couple pushing 30”), an absolute brute of a redfish that Ren talked my son through landing, a couple nice jacks, and a nice trout just for good measure. The weather was biblically awful but Capt Ren kept our spirits up and kept us on fish. He was extremely patient when casts missed their mark in the mangroves and was absolutely outstanding at keeping the boat positioned so we could comfortably keep both anglers with good casting angles. Truly a ten out of ten experience that we’ve already booked for next year."
"We have fished many times with Captain Ren and caught snook, tarpon and redfish. On the last day we caught a huge tarpon that put up a huge, and long, fight. Ren is very knowledgeable and friendly. A great guy and a great guide."
"Fished with Ren on November 16th. He kept us busy with snook, trout, redfish and an occasional ladyfish. We managed to see numerous tarpon but never had a good chance at one. Ren was one of the best guides I have had throughout my fishing adventures. Fishing the Everglades is a beautiful experience but Ren made the trip even better. Super cool dude and totally worth my pesos! Ready to go again soon."
"I had a fantastic time fishing two days with Ren in the Everglades. He was able to take us to remote spots to fish and we saw remarkable wildlife and rolling juvenile Tarpon along the way. I caught a 10+ Snook and various other species of fish. Ren made the whole experience a first class memorable two days experience. I highly recommend him as a guide if you want to fish in the ‘glades."
"Great day of fishing in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Ren was great to communicate with, was prompt and got us right out and on fish early. His knowledge of the area was remarkable in a "don't try this on your own" kind of place. I had brought a novice angler with me and Ren was patient and encouraging and never got upset with him getting hung up in the mangroves. The highlight of the day was, of course, catching a 15 pound snook on fly - quite big for the everglades. What a fight and a photo of a lifetime."
