Southwest Airlines Vacations

"One star is being overly generous. They deserve zero! First, Southwest Airlines owns no part of Southwest vacations! It is deception at its best. They just call it Southwest Vacations because of the flight portion. Real owner is Apple vacations. I just went through a nightmare with SW Vacations! Spent over four hours trying to get a problem handled. I gave up after not being able to understand the foreigh CS agents you have to deal with! Just read the other reviews. Save yourself one of the biggest hassles of your life! I WILL NEVER USE SOUTHWEST VACATIONS AGAIN! Nuff said."

"Absolutely terrible to deal with from beginning to end. I couldn't use my southwest flight credits because they aren't actually southwest. Then I couldn't change my flight through southwest they said I had to go through Southwest Vacations. After being on hold forever and then getting someone. They said they had to call southwest to see if they could change my flight. We got disconnected and they never called back. Then tried the online chat through Southwest Vacations and they told me they couldn't help. I had to now contact During Travel Southwest Vacations. Told them I wasn't going to sit on hold forever again and for them to call me. They never did. Couldn't give less than 1 star."

"Southwest Vacations is pretty much a scam. Once you book and try to manage your hotel reservation, you need your booking number (easy to locate) and your pin code (not given anywhere). Once you book into your hotel, there are extra charges and there is no way for you to go back and find what you paid for the hotel vs. the flight. It's down right shady and disappointing from Southwest Airlines and all the hotels involved (Belaggio Las Vegas)."

"Would 100% not recommend - Southwest Vacations is a 3rd party company and they do not prioritize Southwest Vacation callers in times of disruption or site outages. If you are family, DO NOT USE. I attempted to Contact Southwest Vacation to change my flight to the next day, 3 hours before flight time. Their Website and mobile applications happen to be down and I had to call in. When I called Southwest directly, they told me I had to call a different 1800 number. This number led me to a call center that had to call southwest on my behalf. Due to the outage of the website, it took this 3rd party call center 7 hours to connect me to a Southwest agent. Southwest erroneously labeled me as a no show and after pleading my case to the southwest agent, they still required that I pay out of pocket for a new seat and could not refund or assist me. Finally following up with Southwest directly via their email/message feature, they denied me a refund twice and gave me a voucher that was $100 less than my seat purchased for the following day, and did not refund me the $40 upgrade."

"Southwest vacations is an absolute joke. We called to change our vacation to go to Mexico when Maui had its fire. Within 30 minutes of the lady scheduling our new trip and flight to Mexico, our flight tickets were canceled by them. We had no notification of this. We lucky looked at the trip two weeks before to see our flight tickets canceled. We luckily were able to still get on the flight but had to pay and extra 500 dollars since we were buying the seats later. We have contacted southwest vacation to get refunded for their mistake and they refuse to take ownership of what happened or give us a refund. DO NOT USE SOUTHWEST VACATION."
