"Called and explained what I needed repaired and was quoted $500-$600 on the high end to repair the copper refrigerator water line. Tech came and said he can save a lot of money by installing a new line without going through the wall. There was no savings, $1100 he installed a new line. Talk about bait and switch, they have you where they want you when you're faced with a crisis. Job was done in less than a half hour not including the time he had to go buy supplies. Supplies, you're a plumbing company which means you should carry basic supplies. Lesson learned, and I would never recommend them to anyone in Palm Aire, avoid them for sure."
"This company is highly recommended. They installed a tankless gas water heater price was an A+ for me. I am very happy with the job that got done and the service was outstanding. Thank you Broward plumbing."
"The good: 1. Broward Plumbing is responsive and quick to arrive, even on weekends. 2. Caleb, the plumber who helped me, was polite, helpful, skilled, and got the job done quickly and efficient. The bad: 3. David (sales) strikes me as a typical used car salesman. I suppose he's on commission and loves to take advantage of emergency weekend jobs. 4. I was quoted a ridiculously excessive price for the work that needed to be done. I said no and explained why. David took about $200 off...but it was still ridiculously high. He justified it by explaining to me how complicated the repair was. David probably knows plumbing like I know heart surgery (I watched Grey's Anatomy, so I know enough to sound smartish to someone who knows nothing...maybe). 5. I will NOT use Broward Plumbing again because David [bleep]ed me on the price. The cost of the parts was less than $30 (a couple copper fittings and a garden valve). Even if I had to buy a new torch, solder, and a pipe cutter, the costs were still $100 (and I'd still have a new torch, most of the flux, 98% of the solder, and a pipe cutter). The "complicated" work (David's either a liar or delusional) took less than 30 minutes. Yes, I know it's a weekend call...but the final price was still utterly ridiculous (nearly $1,000)! The worst (added after Broward Plumbing's response): 6. Broward Plumbing has several negative reviews. They also have a canned response that you'll start to see over and over. It's B.S. 7. I was told by David how "complicated" the job was going to be, and that's why it was so expensive. (At first, they were going to have to chisel away the concrete...LOL he even saw pictures and talked to Caleb...he must have thought I was an idiot). 8. My job was not urgent or an emergency. I wanted my issue fixed, but I'm prepared for emergencies and can easily manage no water for several weeks. I even had an appointment for tomorrow with another compnay, but I was (pleasantly, at the time) surprised when they said someone could be there in 1/2 an hour and for a very reasonable "diagnostic fee". 9. While I appreciate Caleb's expertise, the "expertise required" was something an apprentice could have handled. 10. Pricing was NOT transparent. Tell me David isn't a salesman (I mean that pejoratively). Tell me he's not paid on commission. Tell me he didn't oversell the job. I should have pushed back, but at the time I agreed to the exorbitant price, I was given the impression how complicated the job was. 11. I watched every move the plumber made. It was not complicated. I could have done it myself, had I wanted to buy the tools and make a few trips to Home Depot (and maybe, admittedly, screw it up...but I wouln't have made it worse). If the sales rep had been more honest (or if he had actually known what was involved to do the job, giving him the benefit of the doubt) I think he could have enhanced the company's reputation, instead of burning it to the ground. [This part was in my original review:] While I admired Caleb's skills and great personality and exceptional professionalism (and I gladly provided him a good tip), David tanked Broward Plumbing's reputation by thinking he scored a fat payday from someone in need who didn't know any better. If you use Broward Plumbing, I strongly recommend getting competing quotes. There are plenty of good plumbers out there. Broward Plumbing may try and exploit you by saying the "visit" fee will be applied to the work they do...nobody wants to spend money on a visit for nothing. But if you don't get competing quotes, you'll end up flushing money down your freshly working drain. CALEB was excellent. Just want to make sure Broward Plumbing understands who did good and who didn't."
"We were recommended to use Broward Plumbing services. We had the drain in both of our double-sided sink clog up and then it was discovered that both pipes had severe corrosion and also leaking slightly. It took 2 days because the 1st worker didn't have the parts to replace. He was great, the 2nd plumber was just as amazing and knew his craft. He got us up and running and we`re very pleased. I was worried since l'm leaving for a week and didn't want to leave this emergency issue for my husband while I was gone. They came within the hour after I called pictuwere"
"Called in due to a water main stoppage, David was able to get me a plumber to my house within 2 hours and the problem was solved. We were panicking but their professionalism really made us feel better and we knew we were in good hands! Would use again."
