"Title: Disappointing Post-Purchase Experience with Montblanc Sunglasses Date of Purchase: November 7, 2023 Location: Montblanc, Orlando Outlet Mall I am utterly disappointed with both the quality of the Montblanc sunglasses I purchased and the subsequent customer service I received. Just over three months after purchasing these sunglasses for $372, I noticed that the emblem on the arm had vanished. Expecting a straightforward warranty claim, I was taken aback by the runaround that ensued. Upon contacting Montblanc, they directed me to deal with the retailer directly. I then visited the Point of View store at Sawgrass, only to be confronted with unexpected fees: $25 for shipping and an additional $20 as a precautionary measure against potential replacement charges. This was particularly frustrating as the exact sunglasses were in stock at the store, yet the manager claimed they couldn’t replace the item or the missing emblem directly. The requirement to pay additional fees for a manufacturer’s defect, coupled with the lack of direct support from Montblanc, has been a souring experience. This ordeal has made me reconsider the value of purchasing from third-party suppliers, as the convenience I thought I was getting is overshadowed by the complications and additional costs incurred from what should have been a simple warranty claim. To add insult to injury, I am now without my sunglasses, left in a state of limbo regarding the resolution and without any clear indication of when or how my issue will be addressed. This experience has significantly diminished my trust in the Montblanc brand and has led me to question the worth of pursuing premium products through third-party channels. It’s disheartening to realize that opting for direct purchases, albeit more expensive, might actually be the less troublesome route. In conclusion, my experience has been nothing short of frustrating. I expected much more from a brand of Montblanc’s stature, both in terms of product quality and customer service. Buyers should be wary of the potential pitfalls of warranty claims and customer service when dealing with third-party retailers, even when it comes to reputable brands."
"It's a good place to buy sunglasses. I love my Maui Jim’s and have bought a few pairs there in the last couple of years. Carla was very friendly and extremely helpful. My husband and I wear prescription glasses and they were able to get the prescription, measure our eyes and once the glasses came back they sent them to us. Thanks Carla, loving my new look."
"Point of view has to be the worst eyewear store ever. To begin with I bought two pairs of sunglasses, after I left the store not even 30 minutes later I returned to return a pair of sunglasses my wife had decided she didn’t want anymore. As a company you have to abide by the policies which are stated on the receipt. That a client CAN get a refund if it’s within 14 days and in great condition. I left the store for 30 minutes and they would not refund me back 1 pair even when it’s stated on their receipt! The fact that stores like these rob hard working people right in front of your face is ridiculous. As I’m stating to the associate and manager that they’re wrong (which they are) they keep telling me information that’s not stated in their policy. People please see this review before going to the store. Support other eyewear stores, again businesses like these are not worthy of taking your hard earned money! The owner will have to deal with several charge backs."
