"We recently had a problem with our AC, we called Hales who came out the next day. The technician was very helpful and knowledgeable, was able to get the system working again but informed us it was only a matter of time until we would have to replace it, he set up an appointment with sales who was also very knowledgeable and pleasant. We had our new unit installed and the installation was very easy and the guys very professional"
"I have been a Hales customer since buying my condominium in 2016. The technician who came out today - Jim- is incredibly knowledgeable and always does a thorough job. He's done system maintenance for me a number of times and he's terrific. The jury is still out on the company itself though since it was sold to new owners about a year ago. I was always pleased with Hales prior to the sale but since I have noticed a decline in service. Where before there was a "family" feel and you usually talked to the same people. Now there seems to be a different person taking calls each time. The cost for maintenance visits have also increased. I recently had a new system installed on their advice. The installation failed the city inspection. Today's visit was to correct the issue the city found. I am willing to continue with Hales for a bit more to see my recent experience was due to their "growing pains." If they don't return to their previous excellent level of service I'll look for a new company."
"We needed our 2 units to have their annual service. When I called the last company who had installed a unit, I found out that Hales had acquired it but Hales located our file and set up the appointment which was quite quick based on the prior company's time from call to scheduled service date. Our service technician, Scott "the real deal", arrived on time. was very courteous and provided the most thorough explanation of what he found, showing us some of the areas that needed cleaning, and fully explaining why the lights in each handler needed to be relocated periodically to work overall as intended. No other company's reps had done this thorough explanation before. We will continue to use this company and will request that Scott be our service provider if he is available."
"We've been using Hales for about 7 years when our AC leaked and needed a new evaporator coil. Hales gave us a much more affordable option than other companies who wanted to replace the 4 year old AC. The AC lasted another 7 years which was great since it was undersized for the house. Finally it gave out and sprung another leak somewhere. Hales gave us some options to repair but it was out of warranty, undersized, and each repair option was more than half the cost of a new unit. They sent over a salesman the same night the tech diagnosed the AC. He was low pressure and gave us the information we needed to make a good decision. We opted for a more basic unit and the price was excellent. They installed it the next day. The installers were fast, efficient, and thorough. They made sure everything was working and cleaned up. About 2 hours after they left there was a slight squeak in the fan. I called and less than an hour later another installer came and tightened a screw a little more to fix it up. I wish more business for home maintenance and contracting were like these folks. Thank you!"
"My experiance with Hale's A/C began with their salesman. He was much more than an 'order taker' as he spent more than an hour inspecting my home, its windows, insulation, etc. Based upon the information gathered, we had a productive discussion of alternative brands, tonnage, SEER ratings and other useful information. All this allowed me to make a well-informed purchase decision. Prior to my installation Hale's sent one of their technicians to add refrigerant to my existing AC. Very thoughtful and very much appreciated. On the promised day the 4 person installation crew arrived. At the outset they took measures to insure that my carpets and furniture were completely protected. Then, like a well-oiled machine, they set to work. As problems arose, as they often will, each was dealt with in an almost cheerful manner. For example, access to my attic is by pull-down stairs. Turned out the air handler unit was too large. No problem; they removed the pull-down unit and brought in their own ladder. After the install they remounted the pull-down stairs. And the reinstalled unit was more flush to the ceiling than before! Another problem was the very heavy concrete pad on which the existing compressor was mounted. The entire crew helped to remove the pad, which could not be used as it was not level, Another unanticipated problem that the crew handled in the same professional manner. After insuring that the system was properly functioning, by this time late in the day, the crew chief spent an additional half-hour or so instructing me on the functions and features of the incredible thermostat to include its connection to my smart phone. I am now in control! So, thanks to Lenox, Hale's Air Conditioning, their sales consultant and, especially, their professioal and personable intallation crew, I am luxuriating in a home with perfectly controlled temperature and humidity."
