I've been dealing with Galassi services since I moved out to Groveland Fl in 1996 and have always gotten great service. They have installed 2 a/c systems for me here and in Orlando. Definitely would recommend them to a friend."

"Biggest rip off I can find. I have a brand new system that was installed 10 months ago now does not blow cold air. Called this company since they were the ones that installed this system. 90 dollars per hour to come out and 80 dollar service call fee. Could not find a leak but was told by pressure alone that the system was 4 lbs low on a 7 lbs system. They charge 75 dollars a pound of Freon and was also told that the warranty does not cover Freon but covers only parts and service but we have to pay for labor at 90 dollars a hour. But yet could not find a leak but if there was one that they would fix it not covered under warranty even though this would be considered a buy back since this leak was not a component in the system and even if it was Freon was not covered. Now if I chose to go this tech's route this service call would have been close to 500 dollars. Hum lets do the research a 25 lb bottle of R410a Freon that goes into the system is 139.00 plus free shipping. A set of brand new gauges complete with hoses 99.50 free shipping. A standard scale if one used for bottle weight since no machine to recover or vacuum or servicing is being used just bottle and gauges is 25 dollars. So broken down : 25 lb R410a Freon 139.00 actual cost they Charge 75.00 a lb =1875.00 Profit Gauges 99.75 actual cost= One time fee absorbed by the company Scale 25.00 actual cost= One time fee absorbed by the company Labor 90.-00 per hour to find nothing each and every time. Service call fee 80.00 to just go there. Gas and maintenance costs covered. Under that way under that. No this company is a big rip off with the unit less than a year old and the tech first finding a wire not properly connected tells me that the loss is purely installation since no hard components broken but because his Freon sniffer did not pick up anything I have to keep paying service call fees and also labor fees for them to keep coming back @ 90 per hour or 22.75 per quarter hour for them to find what is leaking. which adds ups to thousands of dollars before it is fixed. Do not use this company Barbie the Secretary does not know anything the techs do not know anything but ram prices down your throat. Then when called out by someone that does know the Tech Brian got but hurt because he tried to over talk me and got shut down. AGAIN DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY"

"My husband called Galassi Services because our air conditioner was not working. They said they would send someone out to take a look. They did not mention during this phone call a service fee. The guy came and told us what was wrong and gave a verbal estimate of what he thought the repair may cost, but he couldn't give an exact price for the part till Monday. As he was leaving, my husband asked "What do I owe you?", he said "Nothing". My husband received a call from their office stating the exact price of the part and service. It was pricey, so we called someone else out for a second opinion and their estimate was half the price. So, we decided to go with the second company. A few days later my husband received a call from the Galassi stating we owe them $122 service fee. My husband explained that a service fee was not discussed during the initial phone conversation and when their service guy came out. We did not receive any paperwork prior to him looking at the a\c disclosing their service fee terms. Now because we are not going to pay them the service fee, they put a "mechanice lien" on our house. This is RIDICULOUS!!!! I'm not paying them a penny just because of the principle. I advise everyone to look elsewhere for a/c repair service."
