I walked in and had a retired architect take me immediately to the right section and help me find not just the right part, but a ball valve with a heavier casting. If I went to the Big Box stores, I could have saved a nickel after driving an extra 15 minutes and if I was lucky a poorly stocked part might be on the upper shelves.
