The Dakota

"I have lived in Dakota for about seven years now. I lived in a two bedroom apartment, and then moved into a three-bedroom that is facing the wooded area. I love the privacy and that very few cars go by. It’s just so peaceful to sit outside and enjoy the view. It is so nice to live in a place where the staff and the maintenance and anyone that I’ve been in contact with have been friendly and pleasant. If there is a problem, it is resolved quickly, so I would highly recommend Dakota!"

"We've live at the Dakota for 6 years and love it. Our awesome Manager, Cindy Zeron has stepped up the social activities for residents: pool parties, food trucks, ice cream socials, movie nights etc. It's a great family environment. Paula is always available in the office for us and always is a pleasure to talk to. Ray and Trevor handle all the maintenance issues promptly and thoroughly when something needs fixing"

"Staff is great, location is great, but noise is a constant issue. You will hear everything your neighbors do. Not recommended if you enjoy peace and quiet. Edit to be clear - I have contacted the office about the noise problems. If the person responding to reviews here was in touch with the office I'm sure they would know that. Unfortunately there isn't anything the excellent staff can do about poor construction. Compared to other apartments I've rented in the same area, Dakota is just noisy. You will know when your neighbors come and go. You'll know when they use the stairs, you'll know when they use the restroom. You'll know what kind of pets they have. You'll know when they are watching a movie, when they go to bed, and often what they do in bed."

"Lived here for almost 6 months now and haven't had any issues maintenance wise which is great for an apartment. The last complex I lived in I had to call maintenance 6 times just in the first month. Contrary to other reviews on here I never hear my neighbors through the walls, the occasional door slam but that'll happen in any building. Kind and good management, quiet pool area never packed which is great, and in a safe beautiful area. Major plus is being so close to downtown Abacoa and Roger Dean stadium. We had one neighbor who was a pain but management took care of the issue right away and haven't had any problems since. Would definitely suggest living here."
