"We love the new changes to the Henry. Before it was average, but with new management the service has been better than ever. Tyler has brought up our expectations especially with all our accommodations."
"We pay for our daughter to stay there while she goes to UT. We would never renew the lease here. Too many problems and hassles. Water always shut off, regular mail doesn't get there for weeks because they use a third party delivery system, who my daughter says is an old miserable woman with a shopping cart. The parking garage gate has been broken for a year so hotel guests have parked in my daughter's spot (which we pay extra for) multiple times, leaving her to park on the street until her spot gets towed. I've had to call on her behalf way too many times to try and resolve problems, which none have been. For all the other nice places in Tampa - look elsewhere."
"DO NOT DO IT! I moved my daughter into this "luxury building" after waiting on line for 2 hours to get the keys to move in and listening to people complaining I should have ran then! These people take total advantage of these kids TOTAL! my daughter lived in her apartment with NO WATER yes NO water for weeks and i let her deal with it herself trying to teach her how to take care of things on her own. I finally got involved and got it fixed with NO compensation for all the days she couldn't even drink water or shower! Now her washing machine is broken and she waited a week for maintenance to come and tell her they need a part that will take 3 more weeks with no compensation or even an offer of a place for her to do her laundry! I decided to call myself and the "manager" Lisa told me I needed to talk to or email another manager. I asked her to take my number and she said she did when I knew she was lying I asked her to read it back to me and she read back my daughters number! Please do yourself and your kids a favor and stay away! I NEVER write bad reviews but I pray someone reads this and runs away before giving these people money and sings a year lease!"
"I have been encouraged to leave a review by my community and friends at the Henry, Tampa. A story from my first year living here will highlight the humorous yet upsetting living situation the Henry has provided for me. I remember the day like it was yesterday, seemingly due to the fact that my time at college is running out, and I enjoy the activity of reflection. Here we go. I have exited the shower, now enjoying my in-room bathroom. I had heard some bustling going on in the kitchen, but being occupied bathing myself, I assumed my roommates had arrive home from class. At this moment I was completely naked. All of a sudden, the maintenance man appears in my mirror, we stare at each other for half a moment before one of us (I can’t recall who) let out a sort of cry of astonishment. What is important to recognize is how I felt at this point. Horrified and embarrassment at forefront. Truthfully, this is an outright violation. I heard no knock on either of my closed bedroom and bathroom doors. After I gathered myself, I ventured into the living room reluctantly to confront him to inquire about what the heck he was intending to fix, and for an apology. You could probably guess, he has run for his life and possibly to save his job before I complained. Turns out he quit a week later. The point of this story is to show the carelessness, and, in hindsight, my foolishness of not complaining about this. However, back to my reflection, I don’t believe he intended to see me naked, and given the chance he would likely apologize. I was wrong. I saw him in the elevator two days post the incident and he felt too awkward to even look at me, the teenage girl he knows as one of his biggest mistakes in his adult life. This is an issue of human indecency and I suspect, lack of strict rules for when maintenance men can or cannot enter a residents closed room and closed bathroom. After seeing my body in it’s raw and exposed state with ill consent, I am appalled I did not receive at minimum an apology email from the front desk. I appreciate taking the time to read my past and hopefully improve the Henry as much as possible, now two years post trauma. Can’t wait to see what experience next year holds for me."
"The Henry is a great option for students looking to living off-campus. Its location is perfect (less than a 10 minute walk from UT) and it comes with great amenities like a gym, study areas, and a pool. Not to the mention the amazing staff! Thank you to Zach the shuttle driver and Allisha at the front desk for always striking up the best conversations and truly caring about the residents!"
