"I lived in Greenwich Commons Apartment from August 2021 to December 2022. Here is my experience living in this place during that time: Their apartments are spacious and the per square foot rent used to be better compared to the places nearby. The place is quiet in general and somewhat surrounded by trees which I liked. They also do regular maintenance of the pool which makes it usable (I assume they have a third party contractor for pool maintenance, anyways they used to do a good job). These are the only pros of this place I could think of. The cons are numerous, however the two most frequent cons you are going to face if you decide to rent here are Non-existent customer service and the world’s one of the most careless maintenance guy (team!). The leasing office was straight up non co-operative in every aspect which I will get to in a second. If you care, you may go over this long list of rant but let me give you the most important advice. If you do decide to rent with them, take pictures of every corner of the apartment. Otherwise, when you move out, these thieves will steal your money for stuff that you are not responsible for. They charged me $300 cleaning fees of the AC room!! But I never even opened that damn nasty room. It was in the same condition as I found when I moved in. They charged me big money for silly stuff like a stain on the cabinet ($300 for it!!). So be aware, take pictures of every damn thing and when these blood sucking thieves ask for your money, lawyer up. I wish I had the time to go after these dirty people. Now let me share a few example of how horribly they treat their residents: The microwave oven stopped working just after we moved in. When we placed a work order for it, first thing the maintenance guy did was to suspect us that we did something wrong for it to stop working. The oven was more than 10 years old. They took 2 months to replace it. Which w+as the usual timeframe for every major work order. When we moved in, bathroom floor was filthy when we moved in (they took care of this one within days), they did not bother cleaning the patio, there were no patio screendoor (took months to install). The maintenance guy would respond to our work order whenever he cared not according to our necessity. And every thing he would come with this presumption that we did something wrong to make stuff go wrong!! During my stay, my car parts (catalytic converter of a toyota prius) were stolen. When I asked them about security footage they ghosted me. If you look at the small parking lot, there is a huge tree trunk left after it was cut or something right at the entrance. This is a safety hazard. My and my friend's car were damaged when we were trying to get out of the parking lot. When I called them about it they were unwilling to do anything about it. I had to break my lease due to new job. When I requested them for sublease they straight up say no which I understand is not in their policy. But when I tried to bring people to take over the lease according to their lease terms even then they were non cooperative. I had to pay two months of extra rent even though I had people to take over my lease right after I moved out. And lastly, when I moved out, we were charged close to $1000 for regular wear and tear. These people are taking the residents money to renovate their apartment. I kind of tell this story in the beginning and don’t want to repeat. The list goes on and on.. My advice to you: if you can get fairly similar place in the same price range run from these people. This will save you numerous headache in future! If you do decide to rent with them take 100s of picture when you move in and move out and don’t let these thieves steal money anymore. I think they take advantage of peoples silence and made this a regular practice. I wish these people go through the same feelings of helplessness I went through during the entire time I had to deal with them. The manager/ assistant manager and the maintenance guy are two of the worst sample of human being God ever created!"
"When we moved in, the kitchen outlet was not functioning. Soon after our submitting the request, however, the problem is fixed with absolutely no problem. Thank you for the prompt service!"
"Very nice staff and they helped us get a unit very quickly. Maintenance requests are either not answered or very slow. We have put in many requests and still have none completed. They host fun events with prizes which is fun. Units are pretty decent for the price and size!"
"Overall very good experience living here. You can’t beat the price, it is spacious, maintenance always comes to help as soon as possible. Truly my only complaints are that there is no in unit laundry (but there is onsite laundry) and I’m not a fan of the parking but in all honesty it is not a big deal. I have not had any issues with bugs. As long as you keep things clean then you are fine. Overall I recommend Greenwich Commons apartments. It is great especially for your first apartment and low cost compared to all other apartments in tampa"
"Update: TL;DR--my issues were resolved. I was provided an explanation regarding my originally posted issues. Simply--no annual township fee and some system issues were occurring, but everything has been either explained or resolved. Here's the ultimate point: only stay here for 1 year. As soon as you move in start establishing a way to move out when your lease is done. Here's why: So I started living here around July/August of 2020 and things were going well. I'm left alone, the apartment itself isn't too terribly small for the price, and I'm somewhat near my work areas (I travel around the Tampa area. I'm never really stationary for my job). Then this week I was given my lease renewal letter which included a $100 "one time fee" that they call "Annual Township Fee." What is that? I don't know. And based on some quick research, apparently search engines don't know what it is either. But I gather I'm basically being charged $100 because I didn't move out. How nice. As of this review, I also placed a maintenance request on 5/3/21 (It's now 5/7/21) regarding my apartment having a puddle of water develop from dripping through a ceiling area. I've received no communication, no phone call, e-mail, or even a person coming by saying, "let me take a quick look to assess the situation," regarding my submission. In addition, my toilet and shower started overflowing. Again--why? I do not know. Honestly. I was on my computer in another room when I heard the toilet go "gurgle gurgle." That's brand new for tonight. I've plunged twice with no real progress made. Considering timing, I don't hold this place accountable for the toilet issue, but I'm not exactly happy with knowing I'm being charged a higher rent and some BS fee when bad things happen and I don't get any kind of communication about when I should expect someone to be around to begin maintenance."
