"Updated to knock down my review further due to recent events: - my dog was attacked by another on Friday - my other dog was almost attacked today by someone dog unleashed in the sports court with the door OPEN!! (They shouldn’t be in there anyways) It’s 12am and I feel like I’m going to throw up from all the stress living here has caused me. I’ve only been here like two months. I mentioned wanting to break my lease much sooner but it’s never directly addressed or granted after all of these health and safety risks. No security or cameras on property so they can’t do anything about these occurrences!! Not even fenced in to keep non-residents out. No one cares to follow the rules here, it’s dangerous. PLEASE look elsewhere if you’re looking for somewhere to feel safe. This is not it!! :( ————————————————— These are not smoke-free apartments despite the lease agreement claim; it is not enforced. Terrible experience for nonsmokers due to constant secondhand and thirdhand smoke exposure. The smoking is rampant. Many people smoke inside their apartments and frequently on the patios. One person admitted to smoking inside his apartment for 5 years and the leasing office response was simply what did I want them to do. We asked about relocating apartments and were told they’d have to ask corporate plus charge us fees to switch. No follow up. If smoking doesn’t bother you, then it’s kind of nice. Lots of dog poop in grass but good amenities and many nice people; I personally have had little to no pest issues after the initial pest control visit. Personally, I wish I could move."

"Andrew and Connie, have been spectacular assisting my family and relocation to Florida! The community has been welcoming and supportive. There was an issue with the toilet in the apartment, the day before we moved in, maintenance fixed it promptly. So far so good I am glad to call this community my home."

"I’ve been at Alvista for 8 years now and I can say in the last 2 months since there has been a new property manager here, things have started to improve. There is no insulation in these buildings and the ac units work tremendously hard to cool down 3rd floor apartments. I’ve been battling with the AC issues for 6 years out of the 8 I’ve lived here and the issues I’ve had over the years that have been brushed under the rug year after year. Once Denise came into the office and Chris left, the problems with my ac have been fixed and she is working hard to get the issues with the insulation fixed as well. Denise and Andrew as a team work diligently and efficiently to get the problems taken care of."
