"Where shall I begin with this nightmare!? Renters beware and save yourself a huge headache by not using this company. It all starts with a nasty lady named Phyllis Scott. I am a respiratory therapist that booked with them for May for little boys birthday and my 90 year old grandmother was to accompany us. My husband and I already got time off for this trip. Well, much to my surprise Phyllis cancels my rental. I contact Phyllis and she rudely tells me I am blocked from renting, yet can’t tell me why. She tells me to contact Vrbo. Once I contacted them they informed me she was not being truthful. She was unwilling to assist Vrbo, therefore she lied. Vrbo has all this recorded. Luckily, with the help of Vrbo we will never use Destin memories. I’ve filed a complaint with BBB, I have an attorney, and I will make sure nobody will fall victim to Phyllis’ ignorance again. Long story short, don’t trust these folks and save yourself trouble."

"This review is for a Market Street Inn condominium at Baytowne Wharf, Miramar Beach, Florida rented from, and managed by, Destin Memories. There is a fatal flaw in this otherwise beautiful setting. The air conditioning system for the adjacent convention center literally roars 24/7, making the use of the pool area and pool side balconies a total disappointment. I'm hearing impaired, so I can only imagine how loud it would be for everyone with normal hearing. Oddly, the pool area lacked even a single umbrella, making it unusable for those that require some shade. We stayed in unit 441, which was more than adequate. The sleeper sofa could use some cleaning. A crazy mix of lighting employed bright white and warm white fixtures that will not please those that prefer warm lighting. The grounds throughout the Sandestin Resort are immaculate, providing a very pleasant setting for walks and biking. The Baytowne Wharf retail shops are standard tourist traps. The restaurants are unremarkable and expensive. We tried several and were consistently disappointed. The golfing venues are well laid out and well maintained for challenging play. The traffic on the highway from either direction can influence where you go for dinner or recreation, but they should finish the widening within a year or two. Overall, we will look elsewhere for a vacation destination in the future."

"We did not book through Destin Memories, but they came to our rescue! My family booked through Gibson Rentals on VRBO and when we showed up, my wife and 2 daughters under 3, had no access to our booking leaving us stranded at 9:00 pm. Our condo booking neighbors gave us the contact number for Bette, with Destin Memories, and she was able to find us a place to stay. You are in good hands booking through Destin Memories and they will take care of you, no matter what time."

"Apparently this place rents homes with cameras that watch you... i was contacted after my family returned home, accusing us of having a pet in a rental and leaving a stain on the carpet... possibly a spill from one of the kids, but not from a pet.. i was then told that a “Neigbor” which we never saw, was watching is the whole weekend and claimed to see us with a pet on the back porch.(trees on each side backed up to more trees) ..so either they have cameras or they have people coming into the back yard and watching you during your stay. be aware before you rent 2450 Bungalo Ln, Miramar beach. You’re being watched"
