"This is a great place to stay if you are planning to visit Saint Augustin. The atmosphere is quaint and laid back. The rooms are big and spacious and the place is very kid friendly. But the most important thing is the ladies who run this place. From the moment you get there they make you feel like if you were part of their family. They were very sweet and friendly and warm. And went out of their way to help us with whatever we needed. They gave my husband and I free coffee cups in the middle of the night when we first arrived at the hotel to check in. Also I didn't have any creamer for my coffee so they offered us some creamer from their private stock so that I could make coffee with my own coffee machine which I like to bring along with me on my travels. They even helped us with our luggage when it was time to leave the hotel. The ladies who run this hotel are so caring and warm that it made our stay and Vaca that much more special. I highly recommend this place."

"My husband and I stayed here for 3 days, and honestly we should have just paid the extra $350 to stay at the hotel down the road. The room smelled musty as soon as we walked in, and we could tell the ac hadn't been cleaned in a long time since it had dust and mold all over the vents and the cover. The floor looked and felt like it hadn't been swept or mopped in a couple days- the bottom of our socks turned black after 5 minutes of walking around the room! There were crumbs and sticky patches on the little table they had in there, as well as on the shelves in the fridge, and every drawer in the room had crumbs and dead ants in them. We saw so many little roaches and palm roaches we lost count of them after the second evening. And we're smokers, but we're considerate enough to bring a water bottle outside with us to use as an ashtray so we're not flicking our cigarettes all over the parking lot (they don't have any ashtrays anywhere on their property), but the second morning we were there we had the blinds cracked open to let a little sunlight in, and we watched one of the older men from the family that owns the place come over and grab the bottle we'd been using off of our windowsill, and dump it all over the hood of our car, the parking lot and the sidewalk, just to throw away the now empty bottle! He just left all the cigarette butts and gross water there on our hood and all over the ground. We ended up using the ice bucket with some hot soapy water to rinse everything because it stunk and we didn't want it to bake in in the sun all day. It was disgusting and uncalled for, and when we tried to talk to them about it they acted like they didn't know English and waved us off. We would have left and stayed somewhere else, but they wouldn't give us a refund so we stayed the last day, which thankfully didn't have any more major issues like that. We will definitely never be staying here again."

"Stayed here overnight on a weekday trip. Room was very clean. Remodeling is going on so be prepared for some oddness due to that, such as only having blinds and no curtains in our room. Staff was friendly. Great breakfast restaurant within walking distance. Easy parking and we were right next to the live oak so our room was shaded from the heat."
