"Horrible experience with her last year. First she forgot our taxes and when I called they couldn’t find them. She said she’d get them done in time and she did but we had moved from Ohio and there is school district tax in Ohio. She didn’t file that and didn’t tell me that she had seen we owed a bunch to school district when she filed online. I actually asked her two weeks later about it and found this out. She said she’d get it taken care of. I do want to say that we had made a mistake and not told her about our living situation and that is why it was showing we owed so much when we didn’t. But she never even told me it was showing this info when she filled our state taxes in Ohio. Took her three months to do the amendment and I kept getting excuses. But it gets better. I wasn’t even going to leave this review last year, I was just going to let it go. But then we filed our taxes ourselves this year and because we work remote and my company is in Ohio, we were under the impression that we needed to pay state of Ohio taxes for me as a nonresident. When we did our taxes this year, we were a bit confused on how to only apply the state of Ohio taxes to my income only and not my husband’s so I emailed Ohio to ask questions. Come to find out, that because I’m 100% remote and don’t go to Ohio to work, that I don’t have to pay state of Ohio taxes at all and Balanced Accounting filed my taxes wrong last year!! She never even asked me any of this information. So now I have to file an amendment to last year to get money back as well as this year because in my husband’s frustration and needing to file in time, he just paid it. All of this could have been avoided and explained to us last year if this girl at Balanced Accounting had any clue what she is doing. This has cost me over 2k that I know I have to file for myself after paying her to do my taxes last year. So after finding this info out from Ohio this year, that’s why I decided to leave this review. Beware, she might know how to do your federal form for Florida but she has no clue how to do your taxes if you work remotely for a company in another state. **In response to their comment, I absolutely would not waste my time trying to have you correct this mistake. There is also no way I owed the state of ohio money, like you said we did, if I only lived there half the year and taxes were taken out for the full year. I should have had a refund, not been told we owed them more money."
