"Its been a while since I went to a dentist due to moving cities. However, I was beyond happy and pleased with the environment and staff of this office. It was very clean, organized and on-time, which was very impressive. My hygienist "Paola" was amazing and friendly. I told her I was nervous due to sensitivity. She then took time to explain every process and walk me through each step. she went above and beyond to put me at ease. You could feel her passion and care for teeth. "I'm actually extremely upset that I went to this dentist. All I wanted was a cleaning. Instead, I spent 1.5 hours at the appointment taking x-rays and pictures and then enduring extremely aggressive sales tactics to try to get me to agree to a very expensive deep cleaning. After I took my x-rays, the dentist was very insistent about how bad my teeth are (I've literally never had a cavity in my life) and how I needed a deep cleaning and could also use a night guard (which also happened to be extremely expensive). I asked if I could just have a regular cleaning rather than a deep cleaning. And the dentist at first responded, "No." It was only after I pushed back that the dentist told me I could have a regular cleaning if I signed a form. After I pushed back with the dentist, her entire demeanor changed and she was visibly annoyed to have to deal with me. Then they took me to the office's insurance person, who ONLY showed me the prices for the deep cleaning and didn't even mention the regular cleaning. I told the insurance person that I just wanted a regular cleaning. The insurance person then told me, in no uncertain terms, that the insurance wouldn't cover a regular cleaning, since the dentist had diagnosed me as needing a deep cleaning. This turned out to be false. And I personally believe that it was a knowingly false representation because when I mentioned that the dentist had told me I could get a deep cleaning if I signed something, the insurance person knew exactly what I was talking about. She then left for several minutes to get a 1 page form. After she came back she only offered me a single time for the appointment that was extremely inconvenient and several weeks away. I ended up having to cancel that appointment because it was in the middle of the work day. Bottom line, I didn't get a cleaning (which is all I wanted), I felt like the dentist and her staff used overly aggressive sales tactics and I really regret going to this dentist. I would definitely recommend going to someone who isn't going to try to aggressively upsell you instead of just providing a simple cleaning."
