Renaissance St. Augustine Historic Downtown Hotel

"Loved the location and the hotel was beautiful however my family and I were part of a wedding block and were not allowed to hang out in the lobby, even in the middle of the day. We were told several times to be quiet at 12:30 in the afternoon…I guess this hotel is more of an art museum than a hotel because they do NOT want you lounging in your lobby. I wish I could be specific with names but the gentleman behind the desk was not wearing a name tag. Very convenient. We were also yelled at to be quiet as the BRIDE AND GROOM WALKED INTO THE HOTEL LOBBY AFTER THEIR WEDDING. Now this was closer to midnight but give us 5 minutes to congratulate the new couple since ya know, you allowed the block to be booked there. They want your business but you can’t have fun or talk with normal voices at any time of the day. I’ve stayed in MANY hotels for weddings over many years and I’ve never been treated so disrespectfully by most of the staff. Would not recommend staying here for weddings or big group events as they discourage hanging out. Oh and the bar closes at 11 pm and there was no mention of quiet hours when booking or any listed. Will be repeating reviews daily until I can speak to the GM. How can you promote weddings if you don’t want people to hang out IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY. Truly unprofessional and will NEVER return to this location even though it’s beautiful."

"This was much better than expected! I thought it looked fun when I reserved it and was quite excited to see it. They have done a wonderful job to make it a great hotel and comfortable experience. The rooms were large with plenty of space. The lobby was also very beautiful! The location was perfect to explore historic St Augustine with a very close proximity to the San Marcos Fort National Monument."

"We swung by on date night for a quick bite. The staff was amazing, the food was fabulous, and we will DEFINITELY be back. Not badly priced for location and quality of food. Absolutely will be back soon!! Thank you so much!! (Make sure you have a reservation, we did not but got super comfy seats anyway)"

"I loved this hotel! Great customer service by the guy who checked me in, & valet guys were awesome too! Room was great, door handle was hard to open, but I made due. I requested an ADA room, & it was very nice. Location is so ideal. If I'm ever back in area I will stay here for sure."

"This recently renovated hotel is very pretty and modern. not really my taste, but it was clean and sleek. the rooms were a little sparse. But nice. very modern shower sink area. the bed was comfy. The service at the front desk was excellent. The bar was very nice. The breakfast was just okay."
