Dr. Thai K La, DDS

"Had an appointment with Dr Thai K. La at 1pm for basic dental cleaning. I arrived early at 12:40 to fill out all necessary forms and was told the checkup with Xray gonna cost me $199 then they will tell me what I need from there. I told them I had my teeth cleaned around 5 months ago and can only afford basic cleaning. They then offered me cheaper option with $55 Xray and $80 cleaning, total $135. I agreed with that and was called in at around 1pm. Xray took 3 mins then they told me I need medium cleaning costs me $135 plus $55 for Xray, total $190. I agreed and signed. Short after, Dr La came in and start cleaning then he suggested one of my teeth needs crowned, I told him may be next time or whenever I can afford. He was upset then walked away. I was waiting in the room till around 1:40pm then realized that Dr La was treating other two clients who arrived after me. I then asked the assistant how much longer I have to wait and she replied :"Just need to be longer" and walked away. I was not happy with that kind of attitude and went to front desk to explain that I had appointment at 1pm but was put in the room 45 minutes whilst Dr is treating others who came later. The Asian lady in front desk told me that Dr wasn't treating anyone but talking to them instead, they can start doing right away. I came back then Dr La was very rude and upset. A medium cleaning costs $135 lasted about 7-8 minutes then he returned to other clients. I understand that sometimes for many reasons including overbooking...etc you need to wait long after your appointment time to be treated but I am definitely unhappy with how they let me wait 45 minutes whilst treating other clients who were behind me because I refused to accept their recommendations. COVID 19 limits my bank account and my spending. I can only accept what I can afford."
