"My experience with Ms. Pinkney representing myself in a divorce case was a disaster. After more than six months representing myself, I never met her. She wanted to do everything via email or over the phone. When I tried to force a face to face meeting, she said a face to face consultation will cost me more. She charged me half an hour for a simple text that says I made a payment to her. It gets to a point I did not want to talk to her to avoid being charged outrageous hours She contradicted later all the legal statements she made early in my case. This mean she told me at the beginning what I wanted to hear to hire her. I went to a deposition without any PREPARATION. This was a disaster. I have never been in a deposition before. We should have been ready for a set questions. I was going to go to mediation also without any preparation, without any propositions or counter propositions for the other party. Thanks God ,mediation was canceled because she was sick. I lost total confidence in her ability but I was hesitating to remove her from the case because I did not want to delay the divorce. I did not know either how to remove a lawyer quickly from a case. So I was questioning every move and she asked to be removed from the case, which was a blessing. I' mgoing to mediation very soon and I sit down with my new attorney to come up with a set of proposals and counter proposals and I feel very confident. I wish before hiring her, somebody would have taken the time to give her either a positive or negative review. There was none. Now there is one."
