"I had an opportunity to work with this law firm on a complex real estate matter regarding a living trust that was set up for my deceased parents in connection with a reverse mortgage. In attempting to accomplish a “deed in lieu of foreclosure” I was getting nowhere with the HOA attorney and called the Weisman law firm for guidance. "I have transacted 3 sales of condos with this company. Although the closing went thru ok on the last transaction they deducted 10% of the proceeds for withholding tax even though the sales price was below $50000. I have researched this with other closing agents and normally $300k is the reportable IRS limit. We supplied a USA tax id prior to closing and that was not good enough for this firm. The attitude of the main closer is also poor. So 2 years later we are still awaiting the refund from the IRS. In conclusion if you have a foreign entity or trust we would not recommend this company for these transactions."
