"I had a leak under my sink that also into a wall. Dry First was responsive and any mold was completely dried out. This insurance company did actually pay for my new cabinets and I love them! Pre-formed white Shaker cabinets though I'd bought the handles and knobs, which is standard. The builder and his staff still have work to do like painting. My Southern Oak Insurance has been good at paying and metering out payment, as usual, until the construction is finished. Thank you all!"

"This company is lazy and lacks morals [ borders fraud] - we bought a new home from Moronda Homes - it has all the latest hurricane features. Moronda only builds and sells new homes. Southern Oak quickly cashed our check, sent us insurance coverage papers. We then went on vacation. Imagine our shock when we returned home 3 months later and found a cancellation notice in the mail and a check for much less that the cost of one month of insurance provided. The reason for cancellation was stated that they had no proof that this was a new home. They did not contact my agent or me - just a lazy letter and a partial rebate of the yearly coverage paid for. This is a scam - they surely could and would have contacted me if I owed them money. Don't trust this company!"

"Great carriers to work with on HO insurance! We had a policy with Farmers at $2500/yr, now $1300/yr same coverages in some cases better coverage. Full disclosure, I've been an agent for the past 30+ years in FL and have worked with most if not all carriers in FL. SO has always been easy and fair to work with both for my famil and others."

"BEWARE!!!! I had Southern Oak coverage and when I filed a claim that was eligible, it was denied. I went through weeks of phone calls, emails, sending documents, etc. and the adjuster recommended paying the claim, but an AVP denied it and used a policy clause to do it. They knew about this policy clause, but still made me go through weeks of retrieving and sending documentation to them. Stay away from Southern Oak."

"We were asked for the same information twice and twice we sent it and our policy was supposed to be rewritten and instead was canceled before storm season I’ve never dealt with a company that was so shady to take money from people and then when there needed they run and come up with excuses. I will do everything I can to see they are held accountable for every single person they have done this too and I will seek legal action against southern oaks and the insurance agent who messed up my policy. Absolutely disgusting how I’ve been treated"
