"Going through a divorce was one of the most difficult things I had to go through in my life, especially when you have children. Thankfully, I was able to find a lawyer that was there for me every step of the way. I am speaking of Attorney Beth M. Terry. She was more than knowledgeable and her composure while speaking with the other attorneys was beyond professional. I felt throughout the entire process that she had my back and that she was thorough. When the other attorney tried to take advantage of certain situations, she was quick to defend me and provide in an instant the laws that protected me as well as solid counter arguments; she exhibited formidable knowledge of Family Law. She was always available to answer my questions and to my satisfaction. All I wanted was a fair and just process and I truly felt that Beth M Terry was the right Attorney for me. I can honestly say that if you find yourself in this unfortunate predicament, you will find in Attorney Beth M. Terry, the best lawyer you can have on your side."
"Miss Terry is kind and compassionate with a great memory to detail. One of her best skill sets is after negotiations were done she makes sure every document is dotted and T's are crossed so the case is handled to perfection. When your dealing with Government/City docs this lady is who you want to get the job done correctly. Thank you so much, Ms. Terry"
"I was referred to Beth by another lawyer who claimed she was really good in court and very knowledgeable. Shortly after I paid the deposit, that same lawyer proclaimed, "Beth Terry could never represent me!" I should have pulled out right then. Although she claimed to have a very good relationship with the judge in my case (because he had been to her office on occasions), it seemed Beth Terry was not respected by John Guy in my case at all. He wouldn't even look at her when she spoke. In my case, either she did not possess the legal aptitude to fight the situations or she purposely allowed the following: Opposing counsel illegally submitted emails from a minor. (She could have filed a Motion Limine). She allowed opposing counsel to place addition verbiage and or omit verbiage (not spoken by the judge) in motion drafting which slowly changed the direction of my case. It was imperative that I proof every motion that she wrote as her work was inundate with poor grammar, misspellings a misused words. She had a very hard time keeping facts and timelines together and she was not timely. She filed a vital motion 2 months and 8 days late which caused irreparable damage to my case. Beth was not strong enough to get the judge to make the other party abide by court orders and couldn't get the judge to find the other party in contempt. She seemed afraid to ask the judge to recuse when it was very clear that he was biased and teetering abuse of judicial power. To my estimation, I paid Beth close to 11k in one year. For the last hearing, she sent me a bill for $2500 more for a Status Hearing. Something we had been to court for many times over the year and she had NEVER charged that amount. In the end, I was worse off in my case than before I hired her. It seemed to me, that her performance was so weak and grossly negligent, she must have been working for the other party, at some point. I would NEVER refer anyone to Beth Terry and I absolutely wish I hadn't trusted Atty Imani Boykin’s judgement when she referred me to her. I waited a year to write this review because I wanted to post a true and helpful account, free of emotions. One more thing. Consider it a red flag when a lawyer charges you for any and all forms of communication. How else can he or she zealously represent you if there is no communication? I believe lawyers who practice this type of billing are not worth their weight in salt. Thus, they employ fraudulent and overly excessive billing practices to boost their income. Shame on you Beth M. Terry. SHAME"
"Please do not hire for any divorce or family matters. It seems as if this attorney is not respected by the judge in any court. Everytime she speaks the judge shuts her down immediately. This attorney takes money but does not have the work to prove."
"Beth and I had a long, long relationship due to a crazy ex husband who was suing me for his own prenup that he wrote. We were up against an equally crazy Judge who had handled my ex's last case. WHAT A LONG PAINFUL TIME IT WAS BUT BETH WON!!!! She won the important part and that was the money handle. She is calm, informed, experienced with the craziest Judges and won't take your money in masses. She can handle an appeal with aplomb! She wins for her client and she won big time for me. I HIGHLY recommend her!!"
