Progressive Home Insurance (ASI)

"Do not use Progressive ASI! We got them for our first home and had a significant loss. They dragged their feet the entire time we were trying to resolve the claim. They lowballed us so bad! We weren’t even originally estimated enough to get half of our claim back. My original adjuster told me that the quotes I got seemed “too expensive” when they were in fact the cheapest in our area. Then, after several months, we FINALLY got the last of our insurance checks in to pay the contractor, and they sent us a letter saying they were going to non renew us. Don’t waste your time"

"One star is too many. I have paid Progressive Home faithfully for years. Three months ago a significant storm hit our neighborhood, tearing off roofs, knocking down fences, and breaking windows with tornado-force winds and hail. Their adjuster said that only a few repairs were needed and estimated a small fraction of what is needed to bring the property back to pre-storm condition. Three different companies determined that a new roof was clearly needed, and I submitted a supplement which they denied. I asked for a re-inspection to be conducted with my contractor present, and they declined. They kept telling us they could approve a new roof if we would send more photos, which we did over the last two months. Now they’re saying they will not pay anything beyond the original estimate and will not send another adjuster out. This is not a grey area. It is clear they are ignoring the mountain of evidence of extensive damage. I would not recommend Progressive to my worst enemy."

"Worst experience of my life. No one know what they are doing at this company, its amazing it is still functioning. The claims "specialist", Jesse Jenkins wouldn't return my calls for months and never actually did. I had to setup up everything like I was an employee of this horrible company. I also had to call in to get the claims completed and paid out. They cant even send a receipt without having to be called multiple times to tell them the proper email address. If you are considering this company, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. Id rather eat glass than deal with this again."

"On September 7 my kitchen drain pipe broke causing food and water to drain into my basement. The mitigation company ASI sent out tried making the job bigger than it was, didnt extract the remaining water, laid the carpet back down flat, and didnt pull the lvt. I ended up doing most of the mitigation myself with church members and friends. I've been given alot of conflicting statements. I've been told that it may not be covered due to improper install. The problem. Is, a only bought the home in February. It passed all va inspections, private inspections, I had no issues. So here we are creeping up on week 8 of no kitchen or basement. As a disabled veteran I was encouraged to go with ASI because of their support but I've seen no support. I've had my adjuster throw the term 'fraud' out a bit. I've had my adjuster totally contradict the previous adjuster. I've been told paperwork was lost in a glitch. I've been given every excuse to avoid fiduciary duty of fair dealings and good faith. Had I not been proactive in preventing more damage I'd have been accused of neglecting the home. Now, I've celebrated 3 of my kids' birthdays in a torn up home. Hopefully, this issue can be resolved soon."

"Choose Allstate. I was late making my payment, which is my fault. ASI Progressive dropped my policy and declined to renew. I called Allstate and had a full policy for less and have an automatic draft set up by a lovely representative. ASI Progressive lacks modernization, lacks helpful staff, just plain lacks it all. I’m glad to be out."
