Reviews
"I have never been one for writing reviews, I have always considered them biased, prearranged, or simply falsified from someone paid to boost sales by offering fake reporting. This review is an honest testimony to the Palso Law Firm and certain individuals that have blessed my life and I want to share that blessing with anyone seeking help for benefits from Social Security or any legal advice needed in the future. Background – I am a disabled veteran that served 2 combat tours (Panama 89 – Kuwait 90 – 91) and hired an attorney that I trusted to complete my VA disability compensation. Once my compensation benefits were filed, I asked my VA attorney if I may file for other benefits that I could possibly qualify for and was told that I may qualify for social security benefits, and I should file. Needless to say, after 10 months I was denied. I informed my VA attorney and was referred to the Palso Law Firm to start the process of social security benefits at the age of 53. Originally, I was not happy with this and wanted my VA attorney to handle my application to the SSA due to the extreme and complex process of dealing with the SSA. As a veteran, my benefits from the VA were straight forward, I served, I got injured, I deserve the benefits that are entitled to me. But, with the Social Security Administration, they have complicated rules that are in many ways against us receiving any kind of benefits until you reach the “retirement age” and this includes disability compensation. I voiced my negative opinion to my VA attorney about not handling my Social Security claim and was told that “If I recommend them, you can be sure I trust them to take care of you”. Reluctantly, I took his advice and hired the Palso Law Firm (best decision ever). From beginning to end – the process of filing, the paperwork / documentation required and any questions I had were answered quickly and explained to me in detail throughout the entire process. I never had to wait for an answer and all my emails were answered within a day throughout the process. The SSA and filing for any type of benefits is a lengthy process, especially for disability compensation. After some time, 13 months or so, I received a conference call from Dennis Palso and Michelle Villa informing me that a Judge has made a ruling concerning my case. I was informed that the Judge would approve my claim under certain conditions. The conditions were that I would receive benefits but no retroactive payments – meaning the 19 months I waited would not be paid to me. My first thought was “damn, I need that money”. I asked Mr. Palso why I couldn’t receive that backpay! He informed me that I could refuse the Judges offer and take it to court to offer testimony of my condition. This required a lot of governmental testing, exams, disability reports that could possibly hurt my case and I could lose the current offer in this time-consuming process. He informed me that it was my decision, and he would support me in the decision that I would make. I thought about it, and it hit me, his compensation! I asked him, how do you get paid if I take the current offer without the backpay? He paused and said, “I don’t”. I quickly did the math, he would lose a lot of money in compensation recovery, money already spent, time and resources. I asked him what does he recommend? To my surprise, he recommended that I take the current offer due to the possible risk of losing in the long run. I told him that it wasn’t fair to him and if I took the deal, I would somehow pay him his fee over time. He said, “my job is to get you your social security approved, and I accomplished that – sometimes I win, sometimes I lose”. Tears rolled down my face and I couldn’t even speak. It’s very rare you find an attorney like this and a firm that lives by higher standards than we are familiar with. Thanks so much to the Palso Law Firm - particularly to Dennis and Michelle!"
"To all that needs legal representation, I would highly recommend Mr. Palso and his legal team. His personable approach and concern is genuine when speaking with you as your case will become front and center. He also showed a great deal of confidence in me amd my case. Ms. Villa-Lovern an excellent paralegal in her own right kept my case organized while Mr. Palso and his experience culminated a winning formula. Mr. Palso was able to argue my Social Security Disability Benefits case before a Judge and came out on top. That said, I can not thank Team Palso enough for their professionalism, dedication and commitment in seeing my case through. They have definitely brought a sigh of relief to me and my family's wellbeing. Again, I encourage everyone to seek out their professional approach in getting your case resolved. It was my pleasure to work with an outstanding Law Team. Thanks again, Joe Charles C. Armstead"
"I wish I could give him more than 5 stars! I will never be able to express the gratitude that I have for Dennis Palso, and his right hand, MIchelle, for the care they took in taking the lead and guiding me through my workers compensation claims/settlement process. I was beyond worried and anxious about choosing an attorney because I’d never had the occasion to retain one’s services. My workers compensation case was not only complicated from a legal standpoint, but it had taken a mental and emotional toll on me. I researched attorneys for weeks and I finally decided on Dennis, due to his credentials and reviews. From my initial meeting with Dennis, as well as with his office manager, Michelle, I felt immediately at ease. While in that first meeting, I think I exhaled for the first time in a couple of years. One of the main reasons that I chose Dennis is because he is in the less than 1% of Florida lawyers that are deemed experts in the Workers Compensation field. And throughout the entire process, he proved this to be true again and again. The special thing about Dennis is that although he has such a high level of expertise & legal knowledge in his field, he has the gift of being able to explain things to me in terms that I understood. It enabled me to feel like we were a team and that was something I didn’t expect regarding legal counsel. I think what was MOST important to me is that both he and Michele treated me like I was a human being, and truly understood that I was going through a very difficult time with this lawsuit. With Dennis, I NEVER felt like a number in a sea of many clients. (Many of my friends that had experience retaining various types of attorneys warned me that I may never actually speak to my attorney. Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! Dennis proved that nothing could be further from the truth. I cannot accurately explain the care that was taken by Dennis (and Michelle) with my case. I truly felt like I was his only client, although I know that was far from the truth. The communication between us was ongoing. Answers to my questions were immediate. For all the times that I picked up the phone to call with a question or just to be reassured, there was an answer on the other end. Responses to emails were immediate. I never had to sit in my anxiety wondering when I’d be able to speak with him. It really was incredible. A bonus (and icing on the cake) was watching Dennis skill in the mediation process (in real time). He is an expert negotiator – both confident and down to earth. I know for sure that he had my best interest in mind and heart 100%. The end result is that he was able to settle my case for more than I ever thought possible. I would recommend Dennis Palso anyday, anytime to anyone. I will honestly never be able to thank him sufficiently for his services."
"Dennis is well-studied, and knows Workers’ Comp law inside and out. He helped me set clear goals, and he and his staff were diligent in their advocacy on my behalf. My case was resolved favorably; even better, in fact, than I’d anticipated. I strongly recommend Dennis and his team to get you the best possible result in your Workers’ Comp case!"
"I hired Dennis because I heard he was one of the most qualified for workers comp, and I had my reservations. Usually the most qualified people are so busy and don't pay much attention to clients, they just want to get them in and out. Mr. Palso and his paralegal Michelle made me feel heard, I was in communication every step of the way and they made sure I got the care I needed. They kept me informed of my rights and got me more than I thought I ever would. Yes, Dennis is one of the most qualified workers comp lawyers but him and his team are also one of the most responsive and caring people I've had the pleasure of doing business with."
