"I live in Nebraska, so I had my soon to be father in law, who lives down there, drive by to make sure it was truly a real shop. What he found was an empty store front! I am sorry for what the hurricane has caused you. However, you can not list a false address. I will not be taking the review down, as your customer service in regards to getting back to people is horrible. A review is documentation of a person’s experience. This was my experience. Yes, he spoke to you. I also tried to call you about the items I wanted to rent. I also emailed you and received nothing back- once you knew I was not going to spend a large amount of money with you. If you’re going to run a business, run it without false pretenses and making people nervous that they may be getting scammed. Take from this to start responding to your customers in a timely manner. There, as requested, I have changed my review."
"Working with The Wedding Shop was the biggest issue we had in planning our wedding. We even lost our venue 6 weeks prior and it was forgettable compared to the customer service we received here. The lack of communication was a problem. A few weeks prior to our wedding we called to set up a delivery and pick up time for our items. We were told that there was an all inclusive wedding that morning so we wouldn't receive our items until 2pm. Our wedding photos were set to start at that time and the wedding reception was to start at 4pm. I was told that a manger would call me back to discuss this, but was never called back. My wedding coordinator had to take over and we had to settle on paying for a split delivery. We had a quote for our items and delivery for that day when we paid our deposit months earlier. Why would any customer want their items delivered to be set up 2 hours prior to their wedding? We did not have a set up crew and our wedding was DIY. Trying to set that up in 2 hours would have been stressful. I'm sure most brides would want their rented items that morning. I feel as if it was extremely unfair to make us pay for an additional delivery because we needed our items a bit earlier. Even setting up a pickup time was an issue. They wanted to pickup their items at 10pm. The wedding was scheduled to end at 10pm. Weeks prior, we confirmed for 30 extra minutes to give us time to tear down. They arrived 45 minutes early and started taking down their items while we were still having our reception. The weekend our wedding took place a tropical storm came through. The storm literally came through while we were on Plan C and we were blasted with rain and 45mph winds in the car ports. The tide on the beach was closing in on the houses as well. We had to rush upstairs to have the wedding in the living space. That morning, we knew the storm was coming and it would hit at the beginning of our wedding so we had to plan for rain. Our arbor was scheduled to be delivered at 2pm. By noon, the arbor was canceled. It was not because we didn't want the item. We were willing to spend over $500 for it. We canceled it because we did not think it would be safe and we did not want the driftwood to be damaged in the storm. In all honesty, I expected to get a refund for the arbor. This item should not have been used in this storm. I did not receive a refund and was given the contract instead. As if I hadn't read it already, it mentions canceling items within 60 days because we change our mind. It does not mention weather conditions and as stated above, we really wanted the item but it was common sense not to use it. I understand a business does not want items canceled right before a wedding, because it could have been sold to someone else, but this seemed like a different circumstance. I had a coordinator that day and wasn't even aware that the arbor was an issue until the next morning. I left a voicemail, my groom left a voicemail. Days later, we got back an email in response. I was told by The Wedding Shop that I should have asked them about the safety of the item and asked for an alternative. I was unaware and trying to enjoy my day. There was too much back and forth about this topic and never a level of understanding. I would give TWS 1 star but the tables and chairs they delivered were nice. We ordered some farmhouse tables and chairs for the wedding party and they loved them. The linens were delivered dirty and they did offer a refund for them. In all of this, I feel as if there was no consideration for the timeline I had set for my day or for the situation that arose. This wasn't a rainstorm, it was a tropical storm. Other vendors were proactive in contacting us to see if we wanted to plan differently. I would just expect a more understanding approach when it comes to customer service. Weddings are stressful and the most important day of someone's life. Sympathy and better communication would have gone a long way."
"Amazing! We had been planning our wedding for a year and they were so helpful throughout the entire process. Leading up to the big day, they emailed us with detailed confirmations and made sure that everything was exactly what we were wanting. On our wedding day, they were prompt and helpful and excited to set everything up according to the local beach regulations and our preferences. Their staff has been so lovely and I'm so glad they did such a great job! Thank you guys! :)"
"I used Uniting Happiness for a wedding officiant and was very happy with my experience! Lacie was so helpful with everything and answered all of my questions! Minister Jill was our officiant and she did a great job helping at our rehearsal and at the wedding. I wanted to write our ceremony myself and they were both helpful giving feedback and suggestions!"
"We had a surprise wedding on the beach at St. George Island with Lacie as officiant. She was fantastic! We worked together to come up with rain or shine plans, and when I called a minor audible to handle a slight change in the attendee gathering, she adapted without blinking. Our small gathering of friends and family were completely surprised, and Lacie gave us the perfect ceremony. We honestly couldn't have hoped for a better outcome. Thanks so much, Lacie!"
