"At first glance, Mr. D's online store appears to have a great selection of hard to find wines. However, good luck actually getting that wine. Very poor customer service for shipping orders. My husband placed a large order on Feb 1st. On the 16th they sent an email saying 14 of the bottles he ordered were out of stock, indefinitely backordered or they only had a different vintage available then ordered. This was after more than one call asking after his wine where there was no mention of anything being out of stock. (Most of these vintage replacements were inferior vintages, for which they offered no discount). For the wines that were out of stock or backordered they said they could suggest similar wines as replacements but they didn't make any such suggestions in the email, or they said they could refund the money. After waiting 3 weeks. This wine was needed for wine education classes that were time sensitive. So after waiting 3 weeks, we had to request a refund and start all over with another wine shop. My husband works at a winery and wine shipping is a large part of what they do. Inventory management and updating your online storefront to reflect what you have in stock is very basic to running an online sales business. This whole experience shows that this business is poorly managed and they do not care about their online customers. The next time we need to drop $1500 on wine, it definitely won't be with Mr. D's."

"I cannot give more than 2 stars! Great wines only if you can visit the store physically. Never, i say NEVER order online! The service for delivery is terrible and they backup order the bottles that supposed to be available for sell. Almost 3 weeks to receive my 4 bottles. It ruined all preparation for our anniversary."

"Hard to find Spanish vermouth was in stock! Delivery was as promised and carefully packed. My only negative is that it takes up to 10 business days to ship. Other than that, great!"
