"This review isn't necessarily for the location, but Williams Sonoma online. If you are planning on ordering online from Williams Sonoma I would advice against it. I had Christmas nearly ruined when I ordered a gift online to be delivered to my parents house for my mother and apparently their editing department cancelled the order for no concrete reason and failed to send a text, email, or anything to alert me of this cancellation. I showed up to my parents on Christmas Eve and the gift was not there. I called to inform them of their egregious error and they wanted ME to call their editing department to ask why they did this so it doesn't happen again, I would have to place another order for pickup that day at a nearby location, and all they would give me was 15% off for this ordeal despite being on the phone for an hour over this issue and having to go to drive to a store to correct their mistake. I was informed by others after venting about this ordeal that some of them had similar issues with Williams Sonoma and this looks to be a pattern when buying online. I ended up buying the same cookware set from Macy's for curbside pick up, online, the same day (Christmas Eve) at a lower price (even more of a discount than the measly 15% offered) with no issue. TLDR: DO NOT buy from Williams Sonoma online there is a pattern of order cancellations for no reason and lack of informing customers about the cancellation. This will ruin your birthdays, holidays, etc. and cause you to be on the phone for an hour with a lack of customer service and meaningful resolution."
"For a place as expensive as William and Sonoma, you would think the staff would be friendlyish… no! Super rude staff, annoyed if you ask them about a product. Their restroom was dirty and had no toilet paper, towels or a dryer for your hands. I let an employee know just to be helpful, to which she rudely raised her voice to tell me “We are totally out of paper towel!”. We left without making a purchase; I don’t need to be yelled at for trying to help."
"Most of the staff here are really nice and helpful. There's an older male who can be a bit too pushy and doesn't take hints. The main thing is that the prices are a shame, such as a $3K espresso machine that Neiman Marcus matches with an additional $500 gift card on top of that. I feel like that happens often with Williams Sonoma - you'll spend a lot more for the same thing, even when compared to luxury stores."
"Really disappointed at my experience at the store. I had scheduled a "The Store Is Yours" and when asked before my appointment how it worked. One of the staff looked at me shocked. She tried to explain nicely that they don't do that event on weekends because it is too difficult and that they didn't have a physical printout of my appointment. But I showed her my booking reference and dismissed my booking reference entirely. She also started to go on and on about how it's better during the week and I was just confused because this was a re-schedule date. And I told her, "Oh no one told me that 2 weekends ago when they cancelled the knife skills and told me to reschedule my in-store event as well" Then she started to tell me we don't have the pricing/scanning gun for that anymore and just told me to walk around the store and scan things with the app myself. Which kind of defeats the purpose of having someone tour you. So I had to even bluntly ask, "Can someone still tour me around even if there are people here?" The staff was nice enough to say yes, but then the person I was speaking to decides, "Oh, well let me go get this other couple too". At that point, my friend and I just looked at each other and just felt dumbfounded because as they were giving me the speech about the scanning gun and the "we don't do this on the weekend" speech and also kept insisting that we schedule these things so that "we can give you the full attention you need". Given that, as soon as she left I proceeded to ask a different staff member if they could just show me the stuff I wanted to see. I was very disappointed at the experience, definitely not going to have my registry on WS or any affiliated partners. The staff was nice enough to show me the things I wanted to see and was knowledgeable enough to help me find the appliances I was curious about."
"I love visiting the shop every time I come to Winter Park. For some reason I used to think that the prices were higher, but this time they just didn’t seem that elevated. The store is always changing, and the decor and variety is always exceptional. I love that they absolutely have everything you were looking for as a chef. Everything is displayed so well, clean, bright… It’s a delight to visit here."
