Conlan Tire Co 2005 Northwest 110th Avenue, Miami, FL 33172

"Had an unrepairable tire blowout on Jan. 17th. Called my insurance co. for roadside assistance, and since I was 40 miles from home on a Sunday evening, the car was towed to the closest tire shop which was Conlan Tire on NW 110th St. in Miami, in the Sweetwater district. I called first thing Monday morning and spoke with a manager at the shop (Jose.) I asked Jose how much it would cost to put just the one tire on, since the entire set needed replacement and I use a local shop that gives me great prices. He quoted me the single tire price vs. the set of four. I asked him what the replacement tires would be, and he stated "exactly the same tires you have on there." I asked again since the price seemed way too good to be correct. He repeated, "Yes, exactly the same Michelins you have now." I had Michelin Pilot Super Sport ultra high- performance tires, which retail for at least $300.00 each on a good day before install, balance, and old tire disposal and tax. His price was $950.00 for the set of four, installed and high-speed balanced. I told him, go for it! I picked up the car that afternoon, and the tires were the Michelin All Season 4, which retail for about $180.00 each. I pointed out the error, and he insisted I wasd incorrect. Finally an installer that works there corrected the manager that I was indeed correct, it is a different tire. He did not do anything for me after asking persistently, as for a couple of hundred more I COULD have gotten the original tires from my local shop friend. OR, I could have gotten the ones he put on for $800.00 installed, instead of over $1000.00 after tax. But, essentially, they couldn't have cared less. If I had the time, I would have had him remove the tires, and put the old ones back on with a cheapo to get me back home to my local shop. But, I had to get back to work. Terrible customer service for, first, not ACKNOWLEDGING a mistake, and then not offering ANMYTHING in compensation for the error."
