"Bought a new LS3 crate engine from Aaron in Performance Parts, but when it wiped the cam after only 600 miles, all I got from him was "Here's the number for GM Performance Parts warranty claims". Now he won't return my calls or cooperate with GM on the information they asked for. Update 2 weeks later: Still no call from anyone at Stingray, so I called this morning. Nobody called by 1:30, so I called back and the operator tracked down Aaron and got him on the phone. I asked for his boss, he forwarded me to his voicemail, as he was already gone for the day. GM said I need to talk to the district manager that serves Stingray, but I'd need to get his contact info from someone high up at Stingray. GM doesn't want to warranty the engine, since it's 11 months past the time limit, but I say it's only got 600 easy show car miles on it, so something didn't get done right in the engine. Update 1/9/24: Parts mgr Bill actually called me when he said he would, but the bad news was that the GM regional rep denied warranty on my engine because it was past the time limit. Wow, I used to be a lifelong GM fan, but no more. Stingray did step up a bit and agreed to sell me a new long block for 5% under their cost, which was less than the best price I could find online, so that’s the new plan. I raised my review to 3 stars because of Bill’s involvement."
