"Absolutely mind-boggling, bizarre experience with PC State Farm. Zero stars if I could! My situation is a little out of the ordinary - I have a self-built camper van, and SF is apparently one of, if not the, only insurance companies that will cover the vehicle in addition to the value of the build out (in Florida). Initially, I was quoted $217/mo (pretty good considering the van coverage plus another vehicle). I got a letter out of the blue (no call/voicemail/email that I'm aware of) saying that my policy was cancelled. Called them up and got hit with the first increase. The price was different every single time I called them. It went up to $247 after the cancellation. Okay, not a huge deal, things happen. At some point after this quote, I called to check up on a renter's/high value item policy that they never bothered to follow up on, when Ryan informed me the price had gone up to $273/mo. Told him I would call back to confirm. When I called back, I was quoted yet ANOTHER price, $352/mo. Just for clarity, these were not simply quotes before I signed up with them. I was quoted, and charged, a price for a 6 month policy, which to me, represents a contract agreement. This policy was cancelled by them, so I could see there being a "legit" increase after that due to an honest mistake or otherwise. The other instances were just increases out of the blue, that came up when *I* called them to check on something or another. They blamed it on the third party/underwriter, but can't help feel like I was being intentionally ripped off for not pushing back enough. Seems bordering on fraudulent, if I thought it was worth my time I'd talk to the insurance commission. Van lifers beware. Thanks for letting me vent, Google!"
