"The day we were there was very cool/cold and windy. Besides the captain and 2 crew members there was only the two of us and one other couple. The pontoon ride takes about 20 minutes, you get dropped off at waters edge so we all took our shoes off. Then you are on your own until the boat comes back to pick you up, which was exactly when they said they would. There is nothing else on the island including no facilities. We walked the shore line shell hunting then set up the chairs we brought and had a snack, also that we brought. The best shell we found was a sand dollar. We did find a few unbroken spiral shells but most of the other ones there can be found at all the other gulf beaches. They do sell a limited amount of snacks on the pontoon. We enjoyed the day and if you want to get away from crowds this is definitely the place to do that. (Might have been more people had the weather been nicer)"
"Booked online and the communications were great, easy to follow, and not a bad deal either. We arrived at the park early as suggested and the gals took care of the final details upon arrival. Met a nice couple from Louisiana and spent a few hours scoring some nice shells...it is Shell Key afterall. Capt. gave us a nice cruise and we spotted a dolphin on the way out as well."
"Efficient way to get to Shell Key Island….10 min ride on pontoon style boat. Captain Todd and his mate were great, offered many local facts on the short trip"
"My daughter Josie had a blast on the Ferry with Shell King Mike!! He made necklaces with her and entertained everyone on the ferry!! Highly recommend going on the ferry to Shell Key, we also found a ton of shells and wildlife!!"
"Such a great experience. The ferry was equipped with a bathroom, snacks, drinks, shell bags, and the best captain and co-captain ever! (Todd & Noah) Noah handed out shark teeth that he dives and finds to everyone. They helped carry things on and off the boat for everyone, waited for the late arrivals and made sure everyone made it back safely. Can’t say enough good things about these guys."
