"This place is such a scam. I recently had to replace one of my ignition coils and it cost $550. They quoted me $1600 to replace all four coils and spark plugs, offering to lower it to $1200 as a “discount.” Thankfully I went to Auto Rx of Tampa after that and they offered to replace the remaining three coils and spark plugs for $480, less than what it cost to replace ONE ignition coil. Tires Plus wanted me to pay $300 for the spark plugs alone - $75 per plug lmao."
"Anyone wishing to get repair work done on your vehicle AVOID TIRES PLUS AT ALL COSTS! My family and I used to only bring out vehicles to this Tires Plus location since it originally opened. Back in the day, it was a wonderful establishment. But something changed within the past few years. Long-time service writers and mechanics who were at this location began to leave, for whatever reason. Years ago, there were service writers who were there for YEARS and were extremely trustworthy. They were literally like family we knew them for so long. Now it seems whenever you go there, you find new people at the counter. My family spent not thousands of dollars at this location but TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars over the years! They can look it up. About a year ago I brought my car in and received a very suspect estimate for repairs they claimed I needed done. Rather than have Tires Plus do the repairs, I instead brought mt car to Christian Brothers Automotive in New Tampa since I heard many good things about this shop. My car is not new by any means, so I assumed it did need work done on it. But Christian Brothers looked at the Tires Plus estimate and then gave me THEIR opinion. The car did need some work, but not nearly the amounts that the original estimate deducted. They even e-mailed me photos of what needed to be repaired. This proved to me that Tires Plus was unethical. Fast forward to the present. I had some basic things the car needed done, basic maintenance. I was only bringing the car to Christian Brothers, but they recently had a fire and are temporarily closed. So, I figured, I'll bring the car in for an oil change, get the tires rotated, get new windshield-wiper blades and have the front-end realigned. Bring it to Tires Plus, right? These guys couldn't screw this up, right? WRONG! I made an appointment in advance through their website detailing the 4 things I wanted done. I brought the car in on December 20th at 11:00 am, the time of the appointment. They asked if I was going to wait on it. I said, "No, I'm off today, so basically tell me when it is ready." They said it would be ready at 6:30 pm that day. At around 2:30 pm, I was at the Publix down the street. When finished, I went over to Tires Plus and saw my car in the parking lot. I stopped in just to see if they had finished with it. No big deal, right? Well, the guy at the counter almost had a fit! He said it would be ready at 6:30 pm! Well, okay, man, that's cool, I just saw the car here and thought I'd check on it, no need to flip out! They couldn't have been ruder about it. I wasn't thinking it would be ready anyway, but no need to lose your temper. I never did receive a phone call when it was ready, so I went to their shop again promptly at 6:30 pm. Guess what? Car is not ready. Car had just been placed on the lift minutes BEFORE my arrival! So much for their 6:30 pm time. The shop closes at 7:00 pm. This is my day off, so I'm expecting to get out of there in a reasonable amount of time. They do the oil change (I think), put the new wiper blades on, I think they rotated the tires, but I asked the service writer if they also did the front-end realignment? He looks at me with a goofy look as to say, "Whaaaaaat?' Well, naturally, they didn't do the alignment! It was the main thing I wanted done since my tires were fairly new and I do a lot of highway driving to/from work. He asks me if I want to stick around because it will "only take about 20 minutes". At this point we are at around 7:20 pm. I said, "No". It takes literally another 25 minutes before they bring my car around for me. I ask about the delay and the service writer (who looks like Grizzly Adams long-lost grandfather) tells me they spilled oil on the engine and had to clean it up so it wouldn't smell! Lovely! He also could tell I was irritated about the alignment not being done and asked if I wanted to bring it back free of charge. Bring it back, it should have been completed the day of the appointment! It was certainly listed on the appointment schedule. Avoid this clown shop!"
"If you care a little bit about the vehicle you drive then I would stay FAR away from this place, The service was horrible … I went in for a regular oil change & tire rotation and left with my vehicle making noises that I have NEVER heard mind you this is a new SUV… When I brought it to the managers attention he didn’t really care to have the issue resolved or to even have it checked it efficiently. Save yourself a lot of time and money going somewhere else. The employees aren’t even trained technicians."
